Also, I would like to apologize to you Delphox. :(

I'm sorry I thought you were lame. It wasn't your fault. The guy who leaked you just picked a bad angle in which to capture your full glory.
I'm still probably not gonna pick you as a starter, but I will try to get you at the earliest I can.

And here's the article that changed my mind.

GAIS
What if all the last evolutions for starters that we've seen are fakemon, and the real ones are awesome...but the guys who already got the game are lying to us!? :O
Oh, that Delphox still sucks. :/ I was really looking forward to it, too.

Oh yeah, awesome idea with Vivillion.

Alright folks, here'e the official artwork for the gen 6 starters final evos.

(click to show/hide)

(click to show/hide)

The artwork really makes them look 10x more awesome than their 3d models. Though considering we'll be seeing the 3d models more often...
Anyways, now I'm torn. I was going for Chespin but now I'm starting to go for Froakie. And Fennekin is definitely starting to look very viable.

Plus, it seems that each starter gets a unique signature attack. Chesnaught gets Spiky Shield, Delphox gets Mystic Fire, and Greninja gets Water Shuriken. I would LOVE to see how each attack works and looks in full 3d battles...

GAH! I just can't decide now! TWO MORE DAYS!!!

Bleh, looks like it's Fisty vs the world on this one. I hated Greninja (riding on that ninjas r kewl fad) and I didn't exactly like Chesnaught due to it's face. I was expecting something more mean looking, but this is like Jonah Hill with Ronnie Coleman's body.

I actually liked Delphox, right from the get go.

Type matchups are interesting as well. Psychic, Dark and Fighting are the three types other than Water, Fire and Grass which work on the "Weak against one, strong against other" style.

This means each of the starter would r*pe the starter it's stronger against and be r*ped by the one it's weak against.

See, that sort of imbalance was something that bothered me. I would have liked it if the starter's secondary types were stronger to the secondary type of the starter who's primary type is stronger than the other starter's primary type. (That was painful to type >_<)

I would have much rather preferred

Fire/Psychic
Water/Fighting
Grass/Dark

So the primary triangle would go one way, while the secondary triangle would go the other.

Only Pikachu can say it's own name. The rest have the usual growls and cries. Which is good actually. Since some of the pokemon's names would sound silly or downright cringe-inducing when used as a battle cry.

Seriously game!? SERIOUSLY!?

I've been soft-resetting to get a Chespin with an Adamant nature for FOUR STRAIGHT HOURS NOW!
Either I have the worst luck in the world, or this copy had been cursed by the trolling gods and can feel my desperation, and is willfully giving me crap natures for my Chespin...

I have LITERALLY seen every other Nature TWICE, EXCEPT for Adamant.
I've even gotten three Modest Female Chespins in a row...

I feel like crying...

Dude, why care about natures this early in? It won't really be that much of a difference in the main story and if you plan on going competitively, you'd rather start that with a total blank slate after you beat the game or whatever. .-.

You can erase and maximize EVs with Super Training now, so I'd rather do that with my starter.
Also, I've sunk in WAAAAAAAAAYY to much time to stop now.
I don't want all those hours to be wasted for nothing.
