When Charizard holds a Charizardite X, it can Mega Evolve into Mega Charizard X! This item can be obtained only in Pokémon X. Unlike Mega Charizard Y, Mega Charizard X changes types when it Mega Evolves. It changes from a Fire- and Flying-type Pokémon to a Fire- and Dragon-type Pokémon.

Guess I know which version I'm getting.

I always thought Charizard should've been Fire/Dragon to begin with. 4x weak to Rock is a pretty big weakness...

Yeah! Weekly (or maybe even every two-three days if needed) pokemon matches! To make things fair, I thought to put matches into tiers based on how many badges you've gotten, or early post-game, mid post-game, and late post-game. That way, there won't be any unfairness or trolling like fighting a lv 100 Mewtwo with a lvl 20 pikachu.

HOLY FLYING PIKACHUS!!

I just read an amazing thing about the online aspect of this game!

Quote from: link_15 from the GameFAQs boards

I've been playing for a couple of hours now and so far my experience with the online has been nothing but amazing.

Keeping the PSS turned on, i get a challenge every 10 minutes or so. The best part is that all the people so far are on the same level as me. I had some epic battles with my fennikin and fletchling and the rest of the gang. There is something about batting with your current in-game team that makes it feel so satisfying and different. And you can battle 6 VS 6! How cool is that!

Oh and wonder trade is a little different than i thought. I thought it would be like the gts where you upload a pokemon and then go out and do whatever you want then return to find a new pokemon in its place. But nope thats not how it works. The trade have to be in real time. So If choose to trade my azurill, i have to wait until someone else in the world also want to trade there pokemon in wonder trade, then we trade in real time.

But man i'm digging this new online generation. Almost feels like an mmo.

Ok here is how the Player Search System (PSS) works:

http://i39.tinypic.com/f9p9py.jpg

when you connect to the internet you'll see three groups:

Passerbyes
These are random people that are playing right now all over the world. When you click on their profile this is what you see: http://i43.tinypic.com/2m3i7av.jpg

From here you can request a battle or a trade. You can also see the PR video they made or gift them an O-power.

Acquaintances:
After you trade or battle with a passerby, they get send to this group. In other words, this group includes all the random people you communicated with.

Friends
Like the name suggests, This is for the people who are on your friend list. Oh and btw: its possible to add a passerby to your friend list after a battle or a trade. The game asked me once if i wanted to register the FC of one of the girls in my acquaintances list after we battled.

Its so cool to be walking on a route and suddenly get a notification about someone wanting to battle you right now. Most of the people are no pushovers either. They all put up a good fight. Its very thrilling and liberating because unlike competitive battles, you dont have to worry about natures or abilities or items or anything. Yet its still challenging, fun, and makes you appreciate your current pokemon more.

PS: all the pokemon will be @level 50 for the PSS battles

Also this is my team: http://i44.tinypic.com/4h45rq.jpg

Just caught that honedge. I have yet to get the second badge. ^_^

You can get challenged ANYTIME, ANYWHERE! This awesome!

Remember back in Gen 4, where Shellos's pattern was determined by where you caught it in-game? Namely, Pink shellos on the west side of Mt. Coronet, and Blue shellos on the east side.

Well now Gamefreak has taken it a step further and made a pokemon that has a pattern THAT DIFFERS BASED ON WHERE YOU LIVE IN REAL LIFE!

(click to show/hide)

See this is the kind of unique and cool thing that I've always been looking for in the pokemon games. Add to this the ease at which you can now trade with people across the world, this game has truly become an international phenomenon.
