Just arm muscles? Buy some dumb bells and do triceps and biceps. Do normal curl and hammer curl for biceps, 1 arm tricep extensions for triceps, that should see you ok. For losing fat there is no easy way, you need to burn more calories than you eat, so diet and exercise.

But I like to eat. A LOT.

Every day I do 30 pushups and then hold the down position for 30 seconds
Then I do 50 sit ups and hold the up position for 30 seconds while slowly going down

I do this every morning and night

I do 50 pushups x3 to warm up my bad shoulder before I do weights. I do situps but do it by time, 3x3 minutes. I do 1 minute doing as many as I can left elbow to right knee, then swap sides, then do centre. Repeat 3 times. I used to do 90kg weighted abs when fighting but it gives you a pot belly.
In the army we used to do what is called a Charles Bronson, 1000 sit ups or push ups in an hour. It's not that difficult physically but so boring you have to be mentally up for it.

I've been watching qualifying for worlds strongest man and I almost got motivated to train again. Pound for pound strengthwise I reckon I can get close to some of the lesser competitors, I know I can deadlift over 100kg now because I moved my weights the other day, it was easy. They were doing 400kg but weigh more than double my weight. I think 150kg is within my reach already.

Zydrunas Savickas weighs 170kg and deadlifts 442kg. I weigh 60kg so quick maths(may be wrong), at 156kg I will match the worlds strongest man pound for pound. Interesting....... really interesting.

He does a similar weight in squatting and I can already match that pound for pound. Or I could last time I tried, about a year ago.

It's been a while since anybody posted in here, I hope you all still go to the gym!

I just sold my treadmill because I don't use it. I bought a new bench and a dipping frame with the money.
This bench.

And this frame.

Seems like a nice deal. Treadmills get boring after a while.

I would take a pic of my recent progress, but I'm too tanned and hairy at this moment. I love swimming too much to get un-tanned, and I'm too lazy to shave, so yeah.

You can sorta see some progress in my pic in the post a pic thread, as msg pointed out, but my arms aren't the only thing I've been working out

LMAO! It does look like a big pouch of dog/cat food :D
I figure that should last me 6 months with my current diet, I only need one scoop a day.

It just says when required, but I eat a protein rich diet so I use it straight after training.

I just bought a dipping belt and a load more weight plates, also a tricep bar so I don't have to switch weights around on my combi one.

Don't really reply very often but as this is a subject to which I can contribute, here goes. It's not as hard as people say it is really :P 80% of your progress will be determined by your diet. Calculate your Body Mass Index and figure out what your daily caloric intake should be. Eat a teensy less, exercise a teensy more and replace soda (even diet!) with water and you'll be surprised by how fast you'll start to notice the difference. Don't do cardio unless you have really poor stamina. The easiest way to lose weight is by weightlifting, because it burns twice the calories in half the time compared to running/jogging/walking or whatever you prefer. I started doing this 7 months ago because I was kinda chubby ><, went from 90 to 65kg (minus 55lbs) and am now focussing on bodybuilding. It's hard to take the first step but once you make a commitment and visit the gym on a regular basis, it becomes very addictive and you can't stop going once you start seeing results :D

Farewell 6 pack, it was nice while you came to visit.

If I could somehow manage to stop drinking beer I'd be fine. But I can't, and I don't think I even want to. My social life revolves around Saturday night parties, football and drinking with my mates. Oh, and meals out with the mrs, those curries certainly aint healthy :D

I got 5kg for £50 and it's definitely worked. It's the first supplements I've ever used, but at my age I was starting to need a little extra help :D

I just had my best training session in months, straight off the back of 4 days drinking beer and eating curry. Bodies are funny things alright.

I bought this thing months ago. It has been sitting in my pantry for so long, I found it the day I posted that and remembered I had it. When I finally used it, I realized a BIG difference in my workout. My body gets less stiff after rest and not nearly as sore, and my performance improves the next day, and it gets much easier to warm up. I should use this thing more often.
