Sid Meier, a figure in PC gaming second to none. He is gaming's elite, the "Miyamoto" of the west. He was the mastermind behind masterpieces like Civilization, Pirates! and Alpha Centauri.

Well, Civilization was okay, but when it comes to simulations I much preferred Europa 1400.

haven't really played his other games so I guess the opinion is somewhat bias.
