Turns out it's all made up by a single volunteer in the UN. The UN doesn't back her statements.
This is a bit more believable, at least. Hard to imagine the whole UN actually making a fuss on an old holiday.

However, I'm a still confused on what to actually believe. :|
Can anyone link me on the news?
Most news about it is in Dutch though :/

If black people are offended by the word black, they are racist.. to themselves.

Getting words with black banned and not words with white, yellow, red and whatever is racist in itself as well.

The world we live in:

A place where it's completely okay to ban a long-celebrated traditional holiday because there are people depicted that could be construed as racist, but during a different holiday it's okay if someone dresses up and acts like a stereotypical depiction of a race (i.e. someone dressing up and acting like Crazy Horse) just because it's a holiday where you dress in costume and pretend you're someone you're not.

(and believe me, if you do that and say you're not trying to be racist, then it'll be a socially acceptable thing unless someone in your vicinity is offended by it...not that it's any less offensive)
