Got to the point where Ninian joins your party in Rekka no ken.

Now I'm not sure if I wanna ship Eliwood with Lyndis or Ninian. I haven't been doing support conversations at all now that I think about it.

Sooo I got Fates and Awakening.

I think Awakening was a better game in general though.

oh yeah no doubt about it.

Conquest was a lot more fun though because unless you buy DLC, even normal, casual play is rather difficult compared to the rest of them

I only have Birthright and Revelations. Never much of a fan of the whole "not having a world map" thing, I always thought it took away the replayability and the option to use your favourite characters instead of the ones you really like...not to mention makes it way harder to get Supports, which are like the best part of the game. xD

On the topic of flyers, I absolutely love them. I always have to watch for Archers so they don't butcher my party...
And Revelations makes picking party members so hard, because I want so many of them in but there are only so little space...:c

So, I completed Eliwoods chapter quite some time ago and I even though I'm interested in knowing Hector's side of the story and a few other characters I can't get myself to play it all over again.

(click to show/hide)

Here are some general pros and cons I feel about the game:

Pros:
+ The sprites look awesome.
+ Nice game feel. Getting a lucky critical feels good man
+ Some of the missions require a bit more unique strategizing which I really like
+ Character ships!
+The tactician and tactician rank system is pretty cool. Trying to keep a high rank was fun
+ Having Merlinus is pretty cool. I don't have to throw away items and he brings an extra layer of strategy since I need someone to protect him

Cons:
-Shops and support conversations are only available during missions. It would have been quite better if you could shop and converse during the preparation phase
-Eliwood gets his class upgrade way too late in the game. He was at max level quite early which meant I couldn't make him fight since that would be wasting valuable exp. So most of the time he just sat back, bought shit and flirted with Ninian. That was his job
- All flying units are way weaker than the rest of my party when I get them. Had to suffer in the missions where I needed them because I didn't use them.
-Ursula.
-Can't ship tactician with lyndis
-Can't ship tactician with anybody :(

And that's my general feelings for the game. And I also feel like listing the characters I used from best to worst(gameplay wise). So,
1.Lyndis
2.Kent
3.Oswin
4.Dorcas
5.Rath
6.Hector
7.Lucius
8.Karel
9.Erk
10.Eliwood
11.Jaffar
12.Athos
13.Nino

Didn't add Priscila, Merlinus and Nils/Ninian on the list because they're support characters. Eliwood, Jaffar and Nino are at the bottom because of their late game appearance and/or late game class upgrade. And Athos was pretty much at the last 2 missions for story reasons.

Sorry for the wall of text and hope you take your time to read it.

Lyndis was an absolute beast. I don't remember much about the game because I played it so long ago, but I do remember her being pretty much my "main" through the whole thing...not to mention  cool her animation looked. With her best unique sword thing and/or killer edge  could just throw her in the middle of a group of enemies and watch her critical everyone for ~100 dmg and never get hit.xD

Man, I miss those sprites. I always skip animations in the newer games

ikr. She's easily likeable as a character too. Still sad that I can't ship Lyndis with tactician though.
