Is the Final Fantasy series getting worse as it goes on? Or improving?

A lot of people having mixed views about the direction Final Fantasy has been going in with the past few games, some people argue that after FFX things started to go downhill. What's your opinion?

Hated FF11, 13, 14, 13-2, and maybe even Type-0, but I'm not so sure about it until I try it out. But yeah, the series has gotten worse after that godly FF12.

I don't think it's getting worse. I actually like ffxiii and am looking forward to XIII-2. But some of the games do actually suck though. I hated XI XII and XIV
