Graphics Competitions: Rules and Definitions

General Rules:
  • Any member is allowed to enter, but is limited to only one entry (can be changed before the closing date).
  • All entries must adhere to Arpegi's standard forum rules.
  • When posting your vote, it should be formatted like so:
    (member 1) 5 points
    (member 2) 3 points
    (member 3) 1 point
  • Any member may vote, but only once.
  • Members may not vote for themselves.



Signature Creation

The host will provide a theme or render and members must create a signature based on the theme/using the render.

Any program is allowed for this competition.

Special Rules:
  • Signatures must not exceed 600 x 200 pixels.
  • Animated signatures are prohibited.



Intentionally Bad Drawings

The host will provide a theme and members must create a "bad" drawing based on the theme.

Special Rules:
  • Only Paint (or any similar program) is allowed for this competition.



Captcha Contest

The host will provide a screenshot of a captcha and members must create a drawing based on the two words within the captcha.

Special Rules:
  • Only Paint (or any similar program) is allowed for this competition.



Comic/Manga Caption Competition

The host will provide a page from a comic/manga with the text whited out, and members must insert their own dialogue into the page.

Special Rules:
  • Coloring the image is allowed (if not already colored), but adding anything else other than text is prohibited.
  • Text is not limited to just the speech bubbles. It may be added anywhere on the image, if necessary.
  • Untranslated text (for example: sound effects), if any, may be translated (does not have to be an accurate translation).



More competitions will be added as time goes on.
