MP3 Player Questions?

I got this red 8GB MP3 player from My Coke Rewards a while back and I have some questions about it.

Here's all I know about the MP3 player itself:

• It's red
• It holds 8GB of music
• It's from My Coke Rewards
• There was no brands or labels on it or on the packaging. Just "8GB MP3 Player."
• It looks like a knockoff iPod Shuffle
• It didn't come with a charger plug; just a standard USB cable, crappy headphones, and instructions that only explained how to put songs on it.
• Plugging it into a computer and pressing the play button on it causes it to disconnect itself from the computer and use the USB connection to play the music through headphones.
• It only has a semi-shuffle function that cannot be changed; semi-shuffle consists of what order I put the songs into the device.

Here are my questions about it:

• How the hell do I charge it? I'm either not leaving it plugged into the computer long enough or that's not how you charge it, because it's been run nearly-dead since the first two uses.
• What brand is this? I'd like to email the manufacturer to see if I can get some better instructions.
• I had another MP3 player that had a USB-Wall Plug thingy (it was a shitty chinese piece of shit with no shuffle function, which is why I replaced it). Would it be wise to try that to see if it charges?

Shouldve just bought a 20$ one from walmart tbh.
If Im right you do charge it through the computer.

That's what my parents did when they bought me the last MP3 player, and it didn't have any shuffle function. It was also a shitty chinese knockoff with poor battery life because of the shitting screen, it played videos in some obscure, bad quality format, the built in games sucked, the microphone was shit, and it also wasn't drag and drop.

The new MP3 player would be lightyears better, even without a properly-done shuffle function, if I could just fucking charge it. D:<

You sure? Knockoff products such as these don't always crosspollinate.
