If you bought the game on a different site, you were bamboozled, since you can only legitimately buy it on http://www.minecraft.net. And even if you DID get Minecraft from it, it's probably hacked and you can't do servers.

Go to http://www.minecraft.net to buy it. It is not on Steam or anything like that. It's an exclusive to that one website.

Compared to 45, around 20 is a much better price, too.

You don't need to buy the game yourself.

Have someone with a gift code give you the gift code. I believe that people who purchased the game during some sale or something got one. I don't have one to give out, since someone purchased the game for me before gift codes existed.
