Surgery
« on: October 04, 2012, 02:12:43 AM »
Well, in order to prevent anyone from worrying too greatly, I had kept this a secret. Well, I had a surgery yesterday and it was a success thank god.

For those who are wondering, 2 weeks ago, I had a football game. I collapsed in my locker room at halftime with a lacerated spleen, almost punctured. After a few days, the doctors told me it wasn't punctured, so that was a huge relief to me. After sitting out for almost a week and a half, the doctors had given me an update on Saturday that I indeed needed surgery. So I had that yesterday.

Oh yeah, and on Saturday, after being depressed for needing surgery my parents got me a new kitten to cheer me up despite my mom's allergies

A punctured spleen isn't very survivable in bad cases. But still depressed for getting surgery after the relief it wasn't that bad?

I never really was scared, worried or troubled any of the.. dozen times I went through surgery. Last time I was so high on morphine I actually was excited and oh so happy.

It was alright but I still have to sit idle for the next few days or so. And I'm not allowed to get into any sort of physical activity for the next month or so...
