Title: Who's your Hero?
Post by: NekoBot on May 30, 2012, 05:06:23 PM
Simply, who's your hero? Who do you look up to? Why?

I have two hero's, my father and Steve Irwin.

I once met Steve Irwin at a zoo, he was extreamely kind and his funny voice left a lasting impression. His kindness and take on life became mine and is how I treat others now. I will feircly defend Steve from any hater who thinks of him bad. Ironiclly my favorite marine animal killed my hero >_>

I beleive yall know about my dad.

I don't particularly look up to a specific person, more or less just people who can do things that I cannot. But in terms of inspiration I guess it could have to be NicePeter (youtube artist), his "pull through the worst of times" attitude is quite uplifting and seeing as he plays music solely to make people happy, not for the money, he seems like a genuinely nice person. Probably the only (semi)famous person that I can think of that hasn't let fame get to their heads.

It's hard to look up to someone with a pessimistic view of what's around you.

Shigeru Miyamoto of course. He made awesome games that inspired me to keep writing fantasy stories and his Zelda games touch my emotions each and every time I play it!

The Joker, because he taught me chaos and disorder with a hint of madness is fun.

Well, I wouldn't say I have any proper heroes that I look up to but I can apreciate some people more than others.
First of all there is Dean Windass (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dean_Windass), Hull born and bred and I was at wembley when he scored to promote Hull to the premier league for the very first time in their history. He loves Hull City as much as I do and never gave less than 100%.
This is that magic moment at wembley :D

Then there's Bruce Lee. He didn't just stick to the fighting he was trained, he learnt lots of styles and took a lot from boxing and even the footwork from fencing to try to create the ultimate fighting style. His dedication to his training and fitness is just amazing too. Anybody can learn a lot from Bruce Lee, he was even into philosophy, read his book Tao of Jeet Kune Do if you want to learn more.
