My mobile phone is nearly dead. My battery is empty after +/- a half day in idle mode, the plug for ear duds sometimes only sends the send through one side, the back can't be fully attached to the front and my text messages disappear on me.
So, in other words, I need a new mobile phone. Any suggestions? I would love an Android phone but my budget isn't that big...
(And yes, I copy pasted this from my Facebook. What gives.)

How big is your budget exactly? Android phones can get pretty cheap depending on the model.

I got my HTC Desire on android for under £100 I think. It emulates NDS games fine too, I'm very happy with it.

Why not the Sony Phones? Sony Xperia L comes with great specs for an affordable price ;)

For the record, Sony phones do use Android as their OS. But, like HTC, they don't use vanilla Android.

The mrs has a Samsung and it's easily as good as my phone, I'd have one of those no problem.
EDIT: When you get your android google "DraStic apk". It's a very good DS emulator, I use it all the time.

One of the providers here has a subscription model where I can buy the Samsung Galaxy SIII Mini with a 50% discount. I'm rather interested.

The Galaxy SIII is a great phone. The only issue I ever had experienced when having a Galaxy is the battery life. It started out great but it got very bad very quickly. I'm taking from ~15 hrs to ~2hrs of usage within a year. iPhones on the other hand from my experience (Which was the iPhone 4) go from about 10 hrs to 5 in 2 yrs. and my 5s still gives me 15 hrs after about 3 months

I wasn't trying to convince you to buy one. I was just using the iPhone to compare to the Galaxy battery life, since I'm am not accustomed to any other phone.

Honestly, I think that there are better phones out there even in hardware which you can buy for cheap.

I had the Galaxy S3 before my new phone and it was a good phone, the neo seems to be a good upgrade on it too.

Might just grab the Z5 coming out later this year. Its about time I got myself a new phone anyway. Don't wanna feel outdated with a Z3, when the Z5 comes out haha.

I waited until the Z5 was announced before buying because there is always a big price drop. A couple of months ago the Z3 was £500, I got it for £360 :}

Dang you actually got it for a decent price. I guess it would be better for me to buy a Z5 since its gonna come out pretty soon. A 23 MP camera, finger print scanner, don't know what else but its gonna be damn good! Don't care what the price is, I haven't bought a phone in a long while, and I have more than enough saved up :)

damn, the Z5 premium has a 4K display
if it were me I'd buy the cheaper brands. (using a xiaomi phone and it is still serving me well except for its limited 16GB with no SDcards support)

Its damn expensive though. I can surely afford it from what I've saved up, but I think I'll just stick with the regular Z5 for now. Not a fan of big phones, so 5.2 inch should be enough for me.

Not many people would be happy with just 5.2 inch :D
My phone is still awesome, the battery easily lasts two days, and would probably do a third if I was careful.
