Title: Psychology - Personality Test
Post by: Mr.PowPow on May 29, 2013, 07:21:37 PM
Now before you think that this is one of those bullshit personality tests that you see everyday on Facebook or whatever, it isn't. This is a personality test that was constructed using the data from Jung and Myers' approach to personality. If anything this is like the mother of all personality tests.
Since this is less "for fun" and more to actually gauge your personality. I decided it belonged here rather than in the entertainment board. I had to complete this as a requested by my psychology teacher (the whole class did) so I thought that some of you may want to too.

Also, I found something that really correlates to me in the INTJ profile.

Personal relationships, particularly romantic ones, can be the INTJ's Achilles heel. While they are capable of caring deeply for others (usually a select few), and are willing to spend a great deal of time and effort on a relationship, the knowledge and self-confidence that make them so successful in other areas can suddenly abandon or mislead them in interpersonal situations.

This happens in part because many INTJs do not readily grasp the social rituals; for instance, they tend to have little patience and less understanding of such things as small talk and flirtation (which most types consider half the fun of a relationship). To complicate matters, INTJs are usually extremely private people, and can often be naturally impassive as well, which makes them easy to misread and misunderstand. Perhaps the most fundamental problem, however, is that INTJs really want people to make sense. :-) This sometimes results in a peculiar naivete', paralleling that of many Fs -- only instead of expecting inexhaustible affection and empathy from a romantic relationship, the INTJ will expect inexhaustible reasonability and directness.

Too lazy to retake test so I'll just post this:
Quote
I took a personality test called the "Myers-Briggs Type Indicator" which is pretty well known and whatnot, probably because it was based on Carl Jung's view and shit on psychology.
It basically consisted of 70 questions with 2 choices for each question.
You can take the test here http://www.humanmetrics.com/cgi-win/jtypes2.asp
I got INFP for this one,
however, the one I got in class was ENTP.
So idk. See if it works for you. Generally, I see myself more as an INFP in real life and ENTP online.
Or like a mixture of both because I'm odd.
^Part of my post from another forum dated 01-07-2013, so pretty recent I guess. It still applies to me somewhat.

So I took it again today and got
(http://puu.sh/34WVx.png)

Hm.

I really have no idea whaddafook.
I prefer having marginal or no preference over any of them, but eh! Back to modifying myself then.

I remember a class discussion of this after we took the test to see if it was accurate or not. My teacher gave us all the gist of what our personality type was and it was like... half the class was like "Yeah this is so me!" and the other half was like "What I don't understand how this is me at all but aaaaa.."
Assuming that most of everyone knew what kind of person they were, I'd say that these results are what you perceive of yourself or what you want to be rather than what you actually are.
But anyway, I wouldn't say this new result is as accurate as INTP, but it does say I'm like smack in the middle of it and I do have some things on the "Perceiving" end that I disagree with, so *shrug*

INTP: 3 (Fist, Priom, Pow)
ISTJ: 2 (Blood, Shread)

ISFJ: 1 (Kuro)
INFJ: 1 (Jonez)
ISFP: 1 (Blindshot)

I don't even know how to fix but I kinda did

You can't really say any are the most common because people fluctuate between all of them pretty often, especially those who have slight/no preference xD
Just because you got one personality type doesn't mean you stick with it, you know? So saying INTJ might be the most common in the world is like saying blue paper is the most commonly used in the world. It isn't. Preference changes.

Even if personalities fluctuate, you can still measure frequency. People will not generally display every type of personality, even if they do fluctuate they will stay within a select pattern according to various environmental (life) factors.
I didn't mean it as an absolute way, I simply meant it in the sense that INTJ could be the most frequently occurring personality type. Commonality can still apply. I understand your reasoning though.

It's kind of interesting that most of those careers lean toward your ability to analyze. Photography included. You need more than an SLR camera and something to capture to get a decent picture. You have to follow the Rule of Thirds, check the lighting, get the right equipment and angle, etc etc.

Your Type
ISTJ
Introvert(67%)  Sensing(1%)  Thinking(12%)  Judging(44%)
You have distinctive preference of Introversion over Extraversion (67%)
You have marginal or no preference of Sensing over Intuition (1%)
You have slight preference of Thinking over Feeling (12%)
You have moderate preference of Judging over Perceiving (44%)

This is so true:

The ISTJ will work for long periods of time and put tremendous amounts of energy into doing any task which they see as important to fulfilling a goal. However, they will resist putting energy into things which don't make sense to them, or for which they can't see a practical application. They prefer to work alone, but work well in teams when the situation demands it. They like to be accountable for their actions, and enjoy being in positions of authority. The ISTJ has little use for theory or abstract thinking, unless the practical application is clear.

And

Under stress, ISTJs may fall into "catastrophe mode", where they see nothing but all of the possibilities of what could go wrong. They will berate themselves for things which they should have done differently, or duties which they failed to perform. They will lose their ability to see things calmly and reasonably, and will depress themselves with their visions of doom.

Just did this again, after a long time. Forgot all about the questions.

INTP
Introvert(22%)  iNtuitive(12%)  Thinking(25%)  Perceiving(22)%
You have slight preference of Introversion over Extraversion (22%)
You have slight preference of Intuition over Sensing (12%)
You have moderate preference of Thinking over Feeling (25%)
You have slight preference of Perceiving over Judging (22%)

While I changed slightly, still an INTP.
I think I may be slowly becoming an extrovert.

Also, I wanted to share this.

About ISFPs
Repress their Extroverted Thinking function, meaning they sometimes fail to draw logical conclusions about their situation and act on them
Logic?
Wats that?
