Title: Member Spotlight #12 - Light
Post by: Mr.PowPow on May 30, 2012, 04:16:06 PM
Well its Pow here to host yet another spectacular Member Spotlight, this time under the spotlight we have Light. that one dude who governs the Graphic section, which is right here:  Click here for awesomeness (http://www.arpegi.be/index.php/board,17.0.html)

This is a game where we choose a member to spotlight which could then be asked any question by any member!

Here are the rules:

1. If the member chosen doesn't want to answer a question he/she can freely ignore it

2. If you want to put all the questions you have in one post don't write walls of text (but lets face it, you're gonna do that anyway)

3. Members may not request for more time on the MS, you are allotted a single week (7 days exactly, to the hour) and no more, no less. If you feel as though you may not be able to fulfill this commitment then please refuse the MS (if it is offered to you) so that another member with sufficient time can fulfill the obligation.

4. In a dire event such as the death of a relative or a sudden holiday (announced by your parents or something) comes around, then you may postpone the MS to a later date. However the next MS will continue upon your departure, upon your return the current MS will close. You will use up your remaining allotted time, then close and the other MS will then continue for its allotted time. This is only in serious cases, excuses such as exams are not valid. This is to keep consistency within the MS system.

5. Follow the Arpegi rules please.

Light- The wizard of graphics! (http://www.arpegi.be/index.php?action=profile;u=11)

YAY! Boobies?

(click to show/hide)

How did you learn to be so good at making graphics.?

Most of what I know is self-taught, to be honest. In the beginning, I just experimented with effects and filters and brush presets until I was taught the formal basics by someone. After that, I improved by hanging out at a GFX forum until it eventually got closed down. Now I just search up tutorials if I ever need to learn new tricks or whatever.

I think you're a wonderful person, albeit a bit "off".
They all taste the same to me. :/
I'm horrible at advanced maths and physics. Therefore, I don't like those subjects. >_>
I don't really have a favorite subject.

I haven't read enough of your writing to give a proper opinion. :/
Let's just say it's not how I first thought it would turn out.

Right now it's a Dell laptop. Can't remember what model it is, though.

From what I've seen, you can be both a good friend and a really annoying guy.
I guess they're doing an alright job so far. I haven't seen Mizari do much though, besides when the forum was still starting out. Correct me if I'm wrong, though.
Banana bread.

:D

Honestly, I haven't seen anything about you I don't agree with. So like, 9/10, man

It's from light_x_dark, which is the username I registered on RomU with. The "light" came from Light Yagami, anti-hero of Death Note. I added the "x" and the "dark" to make it look cooler. =P

You seem alright. Nothing notable so far except your grammar, lol
I dunno, it's big. Lots of water. Sustains a lot of life. I'm scared of open waters, so it kinda freaks me out.

Oh. Well, there's always someone more awesome than yourself.
Can't say I enjoy it, but I can tolerate it if I have to hear it.
Mostly metal. Specifically speed metal.
It's only as difficult as you want it to be.
African or European?
I like sprinting and swimming, but I do neither regularly.
Yeah, I still visit RomU and one other forum besides this one. It's a local graphics forum. Most of the members are unbearable, but I learn from them sometimes. =P

Not as bad as physics. I guess it's like a lesser evil.
Whatever I knew about acids and bases is long forgotten now.
As long as it's not with the chemistry parts, sure why not.

The only Homestuck I know of is a web comic of the same name. I'm impartial to that.

Favorite game console?
What is your dream job?

The most fun I had was with the PS2, which is like, one of the two consoles I've ever owned.

If I don't get caught, then sure why not. Corrupt politicians still have to pay and bribe the right people though, so that's not exactly virtually nothing.

It's mostly just personal preference, but I guess it's also because gold used to be a sign of wealth and power in the past. It still does somewhat, but you can't just make shit out of solid gold anymore, man

Who would you consider the most influencial members of the Arpegi community as a whole?

I think everyone here is supposed to be equally influential since this forum makes an emphasis on listening to it's all of it's members equally

Opinion on self harm?

I guess anything involving harm isn't really a good thing, but hey, I can't kick it 'till I've tried it. Which is probably never, though.

Why can't we fly? Scientifically I mean.

No wings, relatively heavy bones, average-sized lungs, you name it. Our bodies are just not designed for flight.

Tsu, shyn, and Badinkadink.

Snow: I've never felt snow before, so I can't say.
Water: I wish people didn't waste so much clean water.
Fire: It's like, totally hot, man
Rain: My second favorite weather, just behind cloudy.
Summer: I like that there's a long vacation during summer, but it's too fucking hot to do anything.
Winter: Never experienced winter, so I can't say.
Fall: No fall either.
Spring: Nope, no spring either.

I guess it's like a nature-y feeling? Personally, I don't feel anything special when I imagine those things.

Who's the greatest music artist of all time (currently)?

It would depend on how successful the artist is, and how many people listen to his/her music, so...

One of those mainstream musicians I don't follow anymore.

Why does school suck? =/
Are you a Grammar Nazi?
Don't You Hate It When People Type Like This?

It only sucks if you let it suck.
My grammar isn't perfect, but I'll gladly correct any atrocious grammar if the person with said grammar would let me.
I'm used to reading a lot worse than that. But yeah, it does annoy me a little.

What anime universe would you like live in?

oh god so many to choose from

Uhh... if I were to be just a normal person, then either Pokemon or Air Gear... or the .hack series.

opinion on love and hate?

As much as I'd love to get rid of hate, I feel that they're both necessary for humanity.

Do you have a garden?

Pfft, I don't even have a backyard. Or any form of yard.

Did you ever have a Neopet?

Nope. By the time I found out about neopets, I was too old to give a damn.

Would you be a family man if someone wanted you to?

Of course! That's what I aim to be for my kids, if I have any. Also,

What are your morals?

I try to live by Jesus' morals.

I already answered that.
I've never played it. Doesn't seem like my kind of game, anyway.
Even though it may get hard or boring or annoying or whatever, I actually enjoy school.
I answered that one as well.
I'd probably shit my pants if I saw one in open waters, but they're apparently not so bad.

Why is McDonalds famous? Their meat comes from Tyson.

Marketing and advertising, I guess. I don't even know who or what Tyson is.

How does one "unofficially" own a monkey?
Title: Re: Member Spotlight #12 - Light
Post by: Light on June 04, 2012, 08:31:20 AM
One day, a monkey showed up on my balcony. It looked pretty fatigued, so I gave it some water and fruit. Most of it's tail was cut off, so I wanted to bandage it up at least, but it wouldn't let me touch it, so I was like, "Yeah, okay" and just left it there. It was still there the next day, so I decided to keep on feeding it until it either ran off or died. After like, two weeks, the latter happened. I guess it was because of the tail wound thing.

If you could live anywhere, where would you choose?

Do you want to have children when you're older?
Favourite eye colour?
Title: Re: Member Spotlight #12 - Light
Post by: Light on June 04, 2012, 10:01:59 AM
I'm thinking somewhere in Europe, where it's not too hot.
Any normal house will do, as long as there's one room in it that's completely white. White tiles, white paint, white furniture, everything white.
I'd love to get married later on in life, but I wouldn't mind if I didn't.
I'm really bad with babies, so I'm not sure. I guess I could just adopt an older kid so I won't have to go through the baby phase.
Anything, as long as it's heterochromia.

Sorry if it's a bit vague. I'm not so good at describing people.

You seem like a really nice guy. I haven't seen even an ounce of obnoxiousness or ill will towards others in your posts. Unfortunately, that's about all that's notable of you. Every other aspect of you I can think of is just... average.

Try to work on your impishness. Other than that, you seem like a good guy.
Since you added those quotation marks, I'm assuming you mean those whore-type bimbo girls. They're tolerable.
Shy girls are the best, yo

In my community, In real life, I learnt through very bad circumstances how to know everything about a person without them really knowing Im doing it. I was born pretty much at the end of it, so I'm not sure. I guess things were picking up? What with mobile phones getting popular and the internet developing and all.

Reverse can be said.

People can give a lot of things actually not related to them IRL. I'm not actually the booby-loving person you know in IRL, you know. :P

So it's entirely possible that the information you receive is partially false. Do you agree?

Of course. It's especially true on the internet. For all you know, everything I've said here is a complete lie. =P

Which of course I know. I stated that the skill was in real life correct? Im no fool to blindly trust everything that is said on the internet. Has your MS suddenly become more interestingish?

But nah, I'm not bored. I'm doing something else on the side.

Pretty much, yeah. It's almost funny how people can overreact to the most insignificant of things.

Oh.... have you ever buttdialed?

I don't think so. I did try dialing with my butt once when I was in elementary school though, if that counts.

why do you like the summer vacation?

Mostly because of the freedom and the large amount of free time that comes with it.

whats the best thing to do on vacation?

Do things you've never done before.

It is! But its dangerous too... go too far and you might get to a chamber and cant breath. And then sometimes you'll freak out because what might be ground could explode into mirror like water.

Would you go skydiving?

Not at all, as long as you're knowledgeble and smart and with a partner, its pretty damn cool. Besides, at some point we might all have to live below ground.

Welp, no one's asked any new questions but I might as well answer that last one.

Not at all. "Legion" is definitely a right word as there's a fuck-ton of people living in the country, especially in the city I live in. "Indian" is definitely wrong though.

Banana bread, double cheeseburger, and cookies-and-cream ice cream.
In minimal amounts. I'm not a fan of horror.
I dunno, nothing really stands out as far as I recall. Can't even remember anything off the top of my head. :/
It's pretty boring at the moment, but that's expected since I'm still in school.
Bacon.

Why did you drop the "Dark" in your name?
Title: Re: Member Spotlight #12 - Light
Post by: Light on March 12, 2015, 02:36:50 PM
It's easier to just go by "Light". Adding "Dark" makes it kinda weird (and sometimes even confusing for some people if I add the "x" in between) to say out loud.

I haven't dropped it completely though, because I still sometimes use it when I register on new websites or services.

Spam is okay, but there are so many other better tasting meat products that if someone told me spam was their favorite, I would assume they were severely lacking in meat-eating experience and promptly ask them to go grind some levels, if you catch my drift.

You're fine.

I prefer Android because of how customizable it is. On a purely aesthetic standpoint, I prefer WP.

What's your favorite chain burger?
Local burger?
What do they put in it?
Title: Re: Member Spotlight #12 - Light
Post by: Light on March 19, 2015, 05:52:48 AM
My favorite chain burger would be the Wendy's Melt. I quite like the taste and it's also the only fast food burger I can eat without feeling mildly ill afterwards.

I don't have a favorite local burger. Most of the "local" western food here comes in the form of pricey bistro-type things and they mostly just have regular old beef burgers. My friend took me to a couple of those places once, back-to-back, and I honestly couldn't taste any difference between them. Oddly enough, the second place's burger was half the price of the first place.

So far, it's the opening from Gankutsuou, on the merit of it being completely different than any other anime opening I've seen.
