Title: Food
Post by: TyranBrûlée on June 21, 2012, 09:14:32 AM
Because <^>

Anyhow, discuss any and all foods here.
What foods do you consider edible?
What's your favorite?
Do you like food? (YES YOU DO, DON'T LIE)
How long can you go without food?
Would you try?
Diets?
When do you eat Breakfast, Lunch, and Dinner?

I eat a healthy (almost)balanced diet, lts slightly low in fat and high in protein, for obvious reasons. I like spicy and hot food the most, chilli's and curries are the best. I have quorn for breakfast, sometimes with eggs, a high protein lunch because I do my training just before, and for tea I always make something from scratch such as a curry, I never eat anything out of a jar.

I think an above average amount of fat is healthier, isn't it? o.o

Every restaurant I've ever been to serves it, and every chinese takeaway too. We sometimes go for an all you can eat here: http://aromahull.synthasite.com/ (http://aromahull.synthasite.com/)
It's as much as you can eat for £12.50 and we sometimes can't make it past the starter lol

Italian food here is crap, but maybe because I spent years in Italy, I find it average and overpriced here. Have you had Fish n chips from a chippy wrapped in newspaper? It's the best English invention ever.

What's American food? Burgers? We have some good burgers, I ate a quad burger a few weeks ago, we call them Jumbo Bumbo burgers(a chicken one is a gang bang burger), and they are cheaper than a big mac meal and about 8 times the size.

English babes are the best, they like to party. A lot. ;)

That's how I ate it for at least 13 years (except I made it on the stove) before I started getting tired of the same old thing.

I'd like to make something more flavorful than the same old thing, but with the same old stuff.

Kinda late, but I mix in a little peanut butter when I eat my ramen plain, in addition to all the usual spices and sauces from the packet, of course. Might be an acquired taste though.

Sauce is the work of the devil, how can you justify masking the flavours of the meat? I did have butter though.
I have loads of packs of meat all open and they all need eating, I will eat well today. I expect to put on a minimum of 4 stone.

I like sauce in small quantities, so that it adds flavor rather than becoming the dominating flavor.

Dutch Apple Sauce

 Prep Time: 2 minutes

Cook Time: 5 minutes

Total Time: 7 minutes

Ingredients:

 4 apples, peeled and diced
 2 tbsp lemon juice
1/4 tsp 'speculaaskruiden' (or pumpkin pie spices)
 1 tbsp sugar

Preparation:

Mix the ingredients together in a microwave safe dish. Cover and microwave on high for five minutes. Leave to cool slightly and then mash with a wooden spoon.

Avoid using metal implements when preparing or dishing up your apple sauce, because the metal causes a reaction that can taint the color and taste.
