Title: What is your alignment? (D&D)
Post by: senpai_FisT on November 30, 2013, 11:59:24 AM
I believe that the majority of you already know what this thread is about without even having to read this. For those who don't,  read this (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Alignment_(Dungeons_&_Dragons)).

Now there are plenty of "What is your alignment?" quizzes but I think the best judge of your character is yourself.

Now, the question in the title: What is yours? And explain why.

I believe I fall into Chaotic Neutral for the most part because of a number of reasons. I don't sympathize but I don't take pleasure in hurting others. When it comes to decision making, I try to picture where I fit in and if I don't, I just move on instead of changing myself. An invading nation is one of my concerns, not because my country is under attack, but because I live in the country. When it comes to wealth and possession, I look to see if my needs AND pleasures are fulfilled. Anything leftover after these two, I'm completely willing to share. I believe everyone should be left alone to their beliefs and freedom unless it compromises others'.

“The most important thing to do in your life is to not interfere with somebody else's life.”

Ok I prefer following rules, obey orders and feel a need to have a reasonable goal for everything I do.

But I don't show allegiance to people or law that I feel unworthy

Which alignment would that put me in fisty?

I just realized Lawful Evil and Chaotic evil has the most badass characters

So umm what are some pretty badass characters known for being neutral good?

Edit: I think I got my answer

I have no idea what I am. I believe abiding by the law is a good thing, since it usually promotes the best for society (i.e don't steal, don't kill, ect) but law should be more malleable (i.e You can kill someone who killed your parents or something, you can steal if it's a small amount of food and you need it to survive, etc). In the meanwhile, I despise hierarchy, specially when it comes to having to obey stupid orders just because whoever gives the order is older or more respected.

Also, I like being honest and telling the truth, and I respect altruism, but I'm not above lying sometimes. I don't remember the last time I cheated at something, and I don't think violence is the answer.  I try my best to keep at what society considers "right behaviour" in that regard. I am lazy and don't really care much about what others expect of me, though.

So, what? Chaotic Good? Chaotic Neutral? Netral Good? True Neutral? .-.

Sometimes I can be VERY lawful neutral. As in obeying rules over any personal matter. You can observe me being lawful neutral when I'm on a job.  If I was a prosecutor and my brother was on trial for murder, I would try my best to represent the law and not be lenient towards the accused. My chief point in life is to stay neutral and find the truth. I have a thirst for the truth.

I'm fairly rigid on my stance on the Good vs Evil axis so I don't really like moral idealists. I hate Gandhi as much as I hate Hitler. I also make it a rule not to love/grow attached to anything since it shatters my neutrality. I'm quick to move on, whatever the matter. If my right arm was amputated, I'd stare at the empty space where my arm for was for about 30 minutes then I'd unzip my pants and start masturbating with my left arm.

TL;DR : In the end I'm more Chaotic than Lawful, but I can flex myself into being either. In the case of Good vs Evil, I don't bother with that.

Funny how second place are both Neutral
Funny how Human and Elf are tied too for Race,I wonder which questions decide those

I thought I'd be more lawful, considering how I love the Law endings in SJ and Nocturne

Sounds like you're True Neutral to me.

I took both the alignment and character tests and they say I'm True Neutral. Can't really argue with that, I guess.
