Title: [Baetyl Royale RP] Official Roleplay

Introduction: At last, the opening day of the Royale has come. The desert sands blow around in the wind, amplifying the wave ripples, as if egging for the Royale to start. In the middle of the vast desert lies the Facility. There, all the spectators and contestants bustle through the main room, waiting for the announcement. The speakers screech, then a cheery male voice speaks up, "Thank you all for attending the first annual Baetyl Royale. I'm sure you've all read about us in the pamphlets provided at the information desk; if not please grab a copy now. To all the wonderful contestants who have been hand-chosen by our system, please make your way to the Crew Rooms we've set up for you." In each of the 4 Crew Rooms, a message is posted by a large door. It reads, "Get acquainted with your partner! Microphones are provided on the counter to remain in contact with your Supervisor or Paeyon. Paeyons have 30 minutes before they are dispatched in various places within the desert field outside a 50 mile radius of each other. You both have 30 minutes upon your arrival to come up with battle tactics. Supervisors must stay here and supervise through the security cameras posted throughout the playing field. You may use any and all of the provisions within this Facility. You may also leave the room at any time, but do NOT leave the premises for your own good. Choose your comrades wisely, as there may be only one crew victorious. Cry Havoc and let slip the dogs of Baetyl." Again, the man behind the microphone addresses the crowd though the speakers, "Ladies and gentlemen, thank you all for waiting. We'll begin in a matter of thirty minutes. In this time, the crews will discuss their order of attack. If you wish to take a break, please head over to our gift shop and food court. You may leave at any time during the Royale(although it would be a terrible waste of your money), just speak to one of the guards to escort you to our underground exit. Let us slip the dogs of Baetyl." Rena walks through the door labeled "Crew 1" and looks around. Spotting the peculiar paper on the wall, she approaches and reads it. "30 minutes, huh? I hope my partner gets here soon.. I wonder who it is.. I wonder what kind of people are in this experiment..." As her thoughts flood, she hears the door behind her click open.

Nero: Thirty minutes.... it's all I have for planning everything out.... Once he- or she.... gets in the room, there shouldn't be any greetings... This is serious, there's no need to put up a cheerful mask, anyway.. ...So all I have to do now is wait.

Enters the room "Crew 2" BlindshoT: thirthy minutes wow that's alot of time. But with who will i get droped in the team. hmmmmm just hope i can work with him/her well sinds i gotta wait i might as well train some more

Metatron enters the room labeled 'Crew 3" and finds someone already waiting there. "You are... Nero, correct? I am Metatron, your supervisor. Are you ready for the tactical meeting?"
Light hurriedly runs through the halls of the facility with a panicked look on his face. Crap crap crap, I missed the entire ceremony...! Which crew am I on? Which door do I go through? Craaaaaap... He stops in front of a door labeled "Crew 1". Ehh... I guess I'll try door #1. He opens the door and walks through.

Rena looks up to find a boy rushing through the door, analyzing his sweat and heavy breathing as a rushed attempt to make it. "Hi, you must be.. uh.. Blindshot? I'm Rdroid9000, but you can call me Rena" She holds out her hand to shake his.

Jack walked away from all the hustle and bustle of the main room, making his way to the Crew rooms. Jack: Such mindless drones, they know not the severity of this event......nevermind, they shall understand soon enough. As Jack continued to walk through the corridor he noticed a voice from inside Crew room 2 and proceeded to draw upon his army knife. Jack: I have read Light Gestalts voice file.. voice is not recognized...., try to take me out? How despicable... Readying the knife by holding it in the backhand manner. Slowly taking quiet steps towards the door, then as he kicked the door open and rolled to the back of the room and saw the unfamiliar person in the room. Jack: Identify yourself!
Walter was sitting on a chair in Crew room 4 already, his hand firmly perched on his cheek, staring towards the door. Walter: Hmmm....he's late...or am I early? He took off his glove and started to rub his finger against the wooden arm rest, as his finger slowly morphed its texture into that of wood. He then started to tap his wooden finger on the arm rest, the rhythmic taps could be heard from outside. The impatience could easily be heard within them. Walter: I just want this to be over and done with.....

Metatron opens her notebook and writes something down. "You are free to do as you wish during the beginning." She gives Nero a fancy-looking pen and says, "When I receive more orders from My Lord, I will relay them to you through this pen."
"Uhh... it's nice to meet you." Light nervously shakes Rena's hand. "But... my name isn't BlindshoT. It's Light, Light Gestalt."

"Hmm? But my partner's name is BlindshoT. Hold on, let me look through the database for your name." As she looks up, her eyes black out for a moment. Rena then regains the color in her eyes and smiles gently at Light. "You're in room 2, with Jack Spinner. I look forward to working with you two. Best of luck, because you'll need it against me." She smiles harder, but still retains her soft, gentle eyes.

Nero: Your what? I don't think I understand. And I can't just do anything out there. Most likely, the contestants would have strategies to try and survive. And I better keep this to myself but... isn't she too young for this?

"It is none of your concern." Metatron sits down and starts writing in her notebook. "And are you not the one called 'The Silent Shadow'? You should be able to come up with a strategy of your own easily enough."
"Oh man... I'm really sorry about this mix-up. I missed the opening ceremony and didn't know which crew I was assigned to." Light smiles back at Rena and starts to leave. Hmm... she seems oddly familiar. I wonder if we've met before... Light turns around and asks, "I know this might seem weird but... have we met before? You seem familiar."
Albert slams open the door labeled "Crew 4" and announces, "Your supervisor has now arrived! Let the tactical meeting begin!" He laughs heartily and sits down next to the young man he sees. "Hey there, I'm Albert Matthews! What's your name, kid?"

"It's no problem!" Rena stares at Light for a while longer, her head heats up slightly from the unexpected question. "I don't know, I haven't remembered much from my human life. Albeit I have no information about you in my memory databank."

"I see... so you don't have your memory as well. Well, thanks anyway." Light gives Rena another smile and heads for his crew's room.

Rena waves cheerfully until Light is out of the room, then she sits on the table, swinging her legs back and forth, thinking about her previous life's memories; something she's buried since her mother activated her.

Rena stares at the door, waiting for her partner to arrive. Her internal countdown suggests there was another 20 minutes to spare. She takes a chair and sits outside, watching people walk by, wondering which of them are the contestants running late.

As Albert sits next to him, Walter replies quietly.
Walter: My name is Polymorph......I did have another name, but its of no use to me anymore
Walter looks to Albert and shrugs, putting his glove back on.
Jack brandishes the knife closer to the intruder in his room. His cold eyes not leaving the target for second, keeping a distance but staying close enough for a possible attack.
Jack: I said identify yourself, you are not Light Gestalt.....if you do not comply, then I shall be forced to engage you!

Metatron sighs as she sees Nero walk out of the room. "Hmph... At least he seems capable enough. You were right as always, My Lord." "... Yes, of course. I'll see to it, O Holy One."
"Oh come now, I want your real name, son. Not your nickname or code name or whatever it is." Albert pats the young man on his back. "Well, it's a good thing I have your personal information right here!" He takes out a sheet of paper from his pocket and reads it. "As for the plan, Walter, I'd like to know what you think. It says here you're a capable tactician, so I'd like to hear just how capable you are."

Walter looks away from Albert in a displeased manner, sighing as he did.
Walter: I was once indeed called Walter....Walter Donovan. Polymorph is the name I was given by the media.....as for my capabilities, once I acquired my ability I used to rob banks and break into government buildings, my ability makes it easy for me to....use my surroundings to my advantage.
Walter takes off his glove again, revealing his bare hand. He then placed it onto the wall beside him and his hand morphed into the texture of the wall, almost blended in. He then smashed his morphed fist against the wall and showed that along with the wall, his hand also had cracks on it. Proving that his hand had copied the fragile properties of the wall.
Walter: I can manipulate my genetic code to mimic other substances and materials.....applying this to combat situations and espionage, this proves useful.

"Oh, I know all that. Everything's in your file, you know! Anyway, I'm not asking about what you can do. I'm asking about what you think you should do, in the Baetyl Royale. It says here in your file that you can only sustain your morphing powers for 15 seconds, tops. I can't imagine that would be any good for espionage, especially since you'll be fighting in the desert. Y'know, wide open areas full of sand and rocks." Albert touches his beard as he explains, "There probably won't be many materials for you to mimic either. Sand, rocks, maybe some metals and plants if you're lucky." Albert closes his eyes and crosses his arms. "If you ask me, your best bet would be to wait it out and let the other competitors battle each other. While they battle, you should be collecting any odd materials that you think might help later."

Walter: Well, If I can get in contact with a metallic object of some sort then I can mimic it. It would make me invulnerable to -some- harm for a short period of time, also would be useful to manipulate my hand into a stabbing weapon of some sort, rock may work....though it depends on the durability of the sample. However I do understand that 15 seconds is a short time, and the lag time in between the usage is problematic. However, considering that I mimic substances upon contact, conventional weapons are next to useless against me....so the other competitors will have to rely on their powers to combat me. With this restriction I think I can focus on their weaknesses and exploit them. My ability removes some of the dangers of the Baetyl Royale, and thus will give me more time to assess my situation. Thats my tactic, assessment then combat. ....however I do realize that this is a team effort, your advice is appreciated....

Nero: Damnit.... if the place is a desert, then there's no way I can hide... there has to be something I could do to sustain myself.... form a pact? That's possible... we can easily kill off the other two... if that's the case, then I should ask them now. It would be harder to do it in the battlefield.... but wait... if that person turns his back on me... what then? The contestants aren't the same with the ones I assassinated... no doubt they'd have tricks under their sleeves.... not unless I kill them first.... Hmm.... thinking about this is harder than I thought.

After hearing Walter's explanation, Albert chuckles and says, "You really are a good tactician! Yes, assessment followed by combat is one of the better strategies to use in situations like this, especially when you know very little about who you're up against." Albert strokes his beard again. "However... I happen to know that most of your competitors are stealth fighters, which means assessment might be difficult. That also means you're going to need to watch your back even more closely!"

Walter: Indeed, but that just means I won't need to find them. Odds are they will come for me.....all I need to do is make sure I am in a favorable environment for the contact. They will play directly into my hand....
Walter smirks softly as he puts his hand in front of his face, then clenches his fist.
Walter: I've longed for death for a very long time.....I've been disappointed for a very long time as a result, I don't think I have the luck to die...
[OoC]: Btw where is Blindshot? Jack and Light cannot meet unless Blindshot gets out of the wrong room >_>

A solemn expression fills Walters face as he rests his head in his right hand, brushing his fingers through his hair as he replied.
Walter: An abomination like me deserves no family nor friends. I am simply a shell of who I once was.....things can never go back to the way they were. I only entered this event in the hopes that someone strong enough could kill me....but don't worry, I don't intend to simply lay back and allow it to happen, I want to die with some honor. To save what humanity I have left inside of me.

Rena follows the male into the crew room, and once again introduces herself. "Hello, you must be BlindshoT. It's very nice meeting you, I'm Rena." She holds her hand out in a welcoming manner, but then pulls back. Her internal clock suggests there be ten minutes left until dispatch. "Your information suggests you're skilled with swords, tell me, what weapons would you prefer using? I'll make them straight away."

I'll give you a few daggers that can be surgically placed within your palms, if you'd prefer that over holding them." [Narrator(OP only by the way...)] The announcement bellows through the halls, "Five minute warning! Paeyons get to your rooms now! Please stand by the dispatch door and await the bell"

Metatron sits idly on her chair, scribbling on her notebook as the announcement is made.
"Oh crap, 5 minutes left! Where the hell is room 2?!" Light quickly runs through the hallway and scans the doorways at the same time. "Kitchen, storage, toilets, monitor room, dammit where is it?!" He stops in front of a room labeled "Crew 2". "Okay, here it is. I hope my supervisor will forgive me for being so late..." He opens the door slowly and enters. He sees a figure sitting down and a knife embedded in the table next to him. "H-Hello... Light Gestalt reporting. Sorry for being so late."
"That's... some pretty depressing stuff, kid." Suddenly an announcement is made. "5 minutes left, huh... Well, I'm sure you'll do fine out there." Albert stands up and heads for the door. "If you feel like saving some of that humanity without dying, I'd like to take you to meet my wife and daughter when you win. They're so sweet I'm sure your humanity will go up 1000%! Hahahahaha!" And as he laughs, Albert walks out of the room with a big smile on his face.

"Alright then." Rena tosses a few sheathed daggers at BlindshoT and grabs a mic, attaching it to his ear. "I'm positive that you haven't read the notice yet. I'll be keeping an eye on you though the cameras and speak to you through this microphone. And also.." She stabs his chest with a large syringe-like item, then quickly pulls it out. "I'll always know where you are now, with this tracker by your heart. Now go stand by that door, it's almost time." Rena walks over to the monitors and turns all of them on, sitting down by several other complicated machinery.

Rena nods briskly, not turning away from the monitors. A few moments later, she speaks up. "Hey, when you get out there, there's a small cavern about a mile away from here." She points to the screen. "Make that your first base, camp there tonight."

As the young man fumbles into the room in a distressed manner, Jack gives a cold look and stands up, retrieving the knife from the table and sheathing it in the cover on his waist.
Jack: I haven't the time for your pleasantries, nor do we have time for any hugging and merry making. I'm going to get to the point and so are you, I want to know what you plan to do out there, how you plan to overcome the competition, and we will go from there. _________________________________________________________________________________________________________
As Albert exited the room, leaving Walter on his own to wait for his dispatch he let out a deep sigh as usual and started to think to himself.
Walter: Even in this situation, people are able to keep a happy face and smile......am I the only one who can't? Maria....I need you now more than ever....
Walter started to rub his eyes and reject the tears, slamming the table beside him in a fit of rage.

Light composes himself and explains his battle plan. "Well basically, I was thinking of using guerilla tactics. I can change the color of my armor to match my surroundings and snipe the enemy using my gun." Light waves his hand across his armor and turns it sand-brown. "Of course, if you think you have a better plan, I'm willing to hear it. You are my supervisor, after all."

Jack shrugs and pulls out a hand pull from a pouch he keeps behind him, underneath his trenchcoat.
Jack: I know that you can manipulate metal.....however I see this as an advantage when wielding conventional weapons, such as the gun you mentioned. Assuming that your effective range of your ability is greater or equal to your line of sight then I can safely say that you can manipulate a bullet even after its already left the barrel? If this is true then you would be extremely effective with a weapon such as a sub machine gun or a sniper, this would allow you to manipulate the trajectory of bullets to make sure they hit the target even if you missed initially. This should be your focus. However we cannot assume that your ability will work all of the time, there will be complications just like in every battle, but you can use your ability to indirectly affect your opponents, such as causing a metallic object to hit another object which in turn affects the opponent. This is simply speculation, but do not worry....I have much experience in battle, I have tasted from that cup myself. I shall be closely watching your movements...

[Narrator] Just then, the loud buzz howls throughout the entire facility, concurrently unlocking all four doors. "Aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaand they're off! Watch, folks, as they run off into the apparent vast unknown and maul each other like animals! hell, you must love this!" Rena shoves BlindshoT out the door and into the desert, then closes the door and turns her mic on. "They can't see you, yet. Get to the cave or find another place of shelter. Go!"

As the intercom reveals that the time is up, Jack opens the door for Light and leans on the side, waiting for him. Jack: Looks like our time is up, you have your headset and I will be watching you and leading your through this......now off you go...

Walter slowly walks out the door and into the open wastes, the faint wind blowing against his hair as he stares at the baron land. The door closing behind him. Walter:.....well I guess this is it huh.... Walter then begins to run straight forward, hoping to find a mine or rocky structure of some kind
Jack closes the door behind Light as he moves out and sits down on the chair in the room, putting the headset on and adjusting the mic.
Jack: Can you hear me? This is your supervisor, I shall be using the headset provided to keep in contact.

Nero: First, I should take care of my survival... Meta, it would be nice if you helped now. I should go search for non-toxic cacti... and food... Snakes are edible... lizards are as well... it should be easy to get some fire to cook in a heat like this... but the problem is firewood... I should just go with whatever wood I find.

Metatron sighs. You are to do whatever you wish. I will relay orders only when they come.
Light stops near some large rocks. "Yeah, I can hear you. I'm thinking of finding a place where there might be some metal lying around. A mine or some ruins, maybe?"
Albert talks into his communicator. "Walter, can you hear me? There should be a mine northeast of your starting point. There are also some large rocks on the way there. Don't forget to chip some off and keep them with you, so you can mimic them whenever you need to."

Nero: The leather should be a good waterskin.... not to mention, the meat is edible... And there's a cactus nearby too...
/me drags the whole cactus using his shadow and carries the dead snake.
Nero: I doubt she can hear me but... Meta, is there any place with shade? Tropical forest? Cave? Anything?

Jack watches Lights movements through a surveillance camera and speaks into the headset
Jack: There is indeed a mine directly north of your position, keep following your current route and you should reach it. However keep your eyes peeled for the other contestants, we don't need complications this early.
Jack pulls out his knife and starts slowly scratching it on the desk, carving lines into it.
Jack: Once you have reached the mine, try to mine some of the metal out. It should prove useful in combat. _____________________________________________________________________________________
Walter pushes the mic closer into his ear and listens
Walter: Loud and clear, I'll make my way there now....
Walter begins to take the northeast route, running as fast as he could
Walter: (to self) Tchh....the heat here is unbearable......
He then comes across the rocks that were previously mentioned, a select few of dark brown rocks that were stuck deep into the ground resided in front of Walter. He then took off his glove and touched the rock, his hand slowly forming into a solid brown fist, then soon after his hand reshaped into a blunt hammer type of object which he then used to slam the rock, the rock the broke in half and became easy to pull out.
Walter: Rock sample has been acquired, its relatively durable, it should do until I acquire some metallic substance.
Walter then grabbed one half of the rock and put it in his satchel, proceeding to then continue northeast to the mine.
Walter: On my way to the mine, I'll keep you updated
