Title: GIF help~
Post by: Mr.PowPow on April 21, 2012, 08:53:54 PM
Okay so like, I tried making a GIF clip myself but it turned out horribly.
(click to show/hide)
^ And you know what, its really -enter curse word here- ing me off.
The quality is terrible, the ending part has been cut off and MEH.
So here is the video that the GIF came from:
(click to show/hide)
The part I wanted to have was 3:39 to 3:56. Watching that small clip you will notice that the GIF I made didn't show all of that.

So here is what I would like, could someone make this GIF for me, with good quality (meaning no terrible lag) and all showing all of the clip. Then post beneath how they did it, so I may use this information for future reference. This GIF really does mean a lot to me, any help would be appreciated :/

If you convert it to a Quick Time compatible format (.avi, .mp4, .mpeg, etc.) , you can just use Photoshop's "Video Frames to Layers" option.

Which Photoshop in particular, I've never used it before and there are like several versions. Dunno which to download.

You might as well download the latest version (CS5). Also, the option is only available on 32-bit OS's (or 32-bit mode on 64-bit OS's), and with Quick Time version 7.1 or higher, unfortunately.

Yeah, I downloaded CS5 and it turned out to be the wrong one, after about one hour of waiting for it to download, now gotta delete it from my system. Kinda annoyed, all very confusing. Not as if all of the buttons, sections and tabs didn't overwhelm me >_<

Sorry to hear that. :/

If you upload an .avi version of your clip, I could make it for you. Or you could wait for Jonez and see how he does it.

^ there is the link to the Avi.
I have already set it to the 300x140 size that I had for my previous attempt. So all that needs to be done is improved quality and stuff of that nature.
I dunno, your the expert xD
If what I have done is wrong, tell me and I'll upload it again in a different size and whatnot~

I couldn't upload it to an image-hosting site because of the large size (4MB-ish).
