New board structure?
« on: June 04, 2014, 08:30:33 AM »
So, I have been brainstroming. I think it would increase the activity on the forum if we have lesser boards.

I'm planning to comibe the Hobbies and Entertainement section.
And combine the Sony, Microsoft and Nintendo boards under one board named consoles, with a rule that you need a tag to say which console it's for. And maybe childboards to talk about some games.

This way we kill some boards that barely get any love.

So, thoughts?

I wouldn't mind getting rid of inactive boards but I don't see how that would increase activity.

You can give the forum a more active feeling with less boards. Having boards open with "Last Post: 2013" is not a good look.

As I've said before, you don't really offer anything to promote activity

Kweh, I do.

You can split a pie any number of times, but it won't give you more pie. It'd be good if the forum had some ultimate focus, sure, you can say roleplay, but that frankly isn't a high priority focus amung members

I wouldn't press such issues if I did not care

Kill the boards that get no love, combine the boards that get any love at all*

jk, I don't understand how this matters. Activity comes through inspiration, not ease of use.

Then we'd have to trim it down to just the Chat section.

Yes, I'll do that in the next update. I might also trim down on the gaming section a bit.
