This is not a game, this is an actual question whose answer I do not know.
Probably on the NES. Its a shooting game similar to contra(but I can't remember if its top down or a sidescroller) and bullets look diamond shaped(not sure about that).
The thing that I can remember most is a level with mine carts.

I think its a top down shooter and as far as I remember it had two player co-op. There were powerups similar to Contra's 'Spread Shot' AKA 'S'
