Look, I'm sorry for bashing LoL. What I really want to know is how fun is it and if it has lasting appeal. I want to know if this game is worth it.

The basic play in LoL is 5v5 gameplay. Each game can go from at least 20 to +-80 minutes.
Your objective is to destroy the enemy nexus (base) or force your enemies to surrender.
If you manage to play good at the start of a round, you'll usually be in good for the rest of the game, but that doesn't always count for the rest of your team.
You will need your whole team to win a game.
Most important is teamplay, then comes strategy, then comes skill, then comes experience.
You'll be useless to your team if you're missing a link.
Feel free to ask me more specific stuff or watch some gameplay videos (they can look pretty hectic at first but it doesn't take very long to understand once you start playing)
I'm currently playing in EU West only. But I can always make an account in a different continent if you wish to play alongside me.

Lasting appeal? Maybe for a week or so.. In my case, I stopped playing after 3 days because I got bored of it

Well I had got it to work.
My verdict: It's not to interesting. The constant errors are frustrating and when you get past the errors, the game itself isn't so hot either.....I tried, but failed....sorry, but I'm gonna have to let it go.

It's not like I was that awesome from the start either.
Give it some time to sink in.
Kinda sux seeing so many people giving up on a potentially great time without thinking.

It's just not my cup of tea. I'm kinda bored of any game I play after 30 minuts so yeah

Have you tried dominion then?
It's usually about 15-25 minutes a game.

As with Smash, it's pretty common to have an error.
Firewall, anti-virus and false data can mess up stuff.
I'll switch my second account to North America though.

You aren't missing much. This game is not that good. I have friends who play it, and I honestly don't see what they like in it. I used to think it looked fun, but then it started to look repetitive and boring.

It's a rather competitive game, competitive enough to be an E-sport. Complaining about repetition in a sport is asinine. It's all in the match-ups and player ability/teamwork. Emphasis on teamwork in the case of MOBAs.

I think you're right Mizzi, even if I haven't played it in months, I think that I would want to, one day, try and work toward more champions and actually try and learn how to play, you know, since a lot of my other friends know how to play but me...T^T

I'm not going to play it. Since looking to vid's and all that jazz. It's not at all my genre. DoTA's are a genre I suck in and if those missions occur in my RTS games I wish I could skip them. I'm so bad in planning those things out.
In addition to that, it fails to catch my attention to even want to play. It doesn't look inviting for my tastes. Yet, I think repetitive isn't a great statement. You can also say that Minecraft is repetitive yet, to hardcore fans it isn't. :P
Anywhoo, since I can't add to the topic of the game, I'm out.
