I like Gen 2 because you can visit Kanto but they remade it in Gen 4 so...

Also, Gen 6 is nice because they made it a lot easier to train for meta but the Gen 5 games are the best when it comes to actual gameplay IMO.

I already got sick of new generations when gen 3 came out.

I stuck to gen 2 and I'm glad I did.

I like the idea of Mega Evolution. Wasn't too enthused about 3D exploring though, or at least it didn't look right in screenshots.

I honestly didn't hate gen 3 as much as other people did. I quit playing the pokegames and stopped watching the anime when gen 4 started because of time constraints and generally not being able to follow what's going on anymore.

I quite enjoyed the Pokemon Rangers games though. Would've been cool if they made more.

The idea of Mega Evolution is cool but it ends up being a huge game breaker in the main game. I thought it would at least create more variety in the meta game but a lot of the mega evolutions are for OU pokemon anyway so not much luck there either.

The biggest exploration issue for me was that you're not fixed to the usual grid movement when you move using the circle pad so you tend to bump into things pretty often. Even if you move using the D-pad instead there's a slight lag when you switch directions and the speed isn't quite as fast as I'd like it to be. Definitely not as snappy as Gen 5. Same goes for battle speed as well.

My fav gen is a tossup. I can't choose between gen 2 & 3. They hold my best childhood memories.

Gen 2 because Kanto part
Gen 3 because I personally like the atmosphere of that game.
