Title: 'lo There!
Post by: Eebit on August 23, 2012, 11:17:50 PM
Well hello there, everyone! I'm (as you can tell by my username) Eebit. I'm your fairly average late-teenaged boy in pretty well everything... so there isn't much to say, but I guess I was supposed to make one of these, so we'll add a little more to that and pretend i am at least mildly interesting

Where to begin... well, I was introduced to this site by Tyran/LaTyrannia, who more or less found me on another website and invited (or maybe it was captured and dragged?????) me over here. Seems like a nice little niche with some cool people from the little she's shown me, so I look greatly forward to meeting people and whatnot!

Like I said, late-teenager. Senior in high school which already is making me feel a tad nostalgic about the past few years of my life. Pretty pathetic. Based on the content of this site it's pretty fair to guess that I like writing. I'm also a bit of a sports player, dabbling around in hockey, soccer, and tennis. And video games, of course, because who doesn't like gaming out.

Uhh... yeah. I think that's a decent start? I was never really good at these things, so forgive the clunky intro post. Hope to get to know you lot in the coming weeks/months/however long you think you can tolerate me. See ya around!

Hey Eebit, and welcome to Arpegi!

By the sound of your introduction, you seem like quite an interesting person to me.
A few questions though;
- Where are you from?
- Do you like reading?
- What music do you like?

Cheers!

oopy doop seems I got lost on my way here :I Sorry for the delayed response, but thank you all for your welcomes! Nice to see such an accommodating community around the internet again; not often that you find one of those. I'll be sure to allude the rape-clutches, because welllll... you know how it is. ;D

I'm gonna get my exploration boots on in a moment and set out on my journey to be the very best (etc), but firstly... a few responses are in order, I think. :>

Glad to see a few of y'all can relate to whatever lamenting I'll throw your way when I'm inevitably sucked into a black hole of schoolwork. And I probably will. Just a heads up. Even though, you know, it's just high school and all... Then again, on that note, I don't know just how much bitching I'll be doin'.

Oh, and might I ask: Where is your siggy from?
I snatched it from a webcomic that I used to read before it went on a dramatically long hiatus, and I just never got around to catching up on it. It's called 'A Path to Greater Good' and is actually quite funny if you dig the medieval-fantasy sort of thing. It's by a guy named 'neoriceisgood,' and can be found HERE (http://www.neorice.com/main). Meant to link to it initially, but I never got around to it when I was at the other forum that I use this sig at, so uhh... forgive me on that one!

Well thank you, but I must assure you that looks can be deceiving haha. Just your typical kid, really! Thanks for that compliment though, made me smile a bit. :>

I'm from Canada, which is a pretty broad sort of thing to say, so more specifically somewhere in the middle. I've been born and raised here, but I do a fair amount of travelling (both with family and without) so I've got a little bit of a view of the world, but I'm always dying to see more of it.

I do really enjoy reading about everything, really. I grew up on fantasy stuff, so that's sort of my natural affinity, but I am also into just about anything. I like post-apocalyptic stuff, and I've always been into mystery stuff too. Right now, though, I've been given a couple non-fiction books to read (presently reading "Just My Type: A Book About Fonts" by Simon Garfield, which is actually interesting to me, in spite of the mockery from my family), and I'm kind of into that.

Music-wise... well, I listen to a fairly big variety of stuff. I go from mainstream pop stuff (sadly, though it makes for good driving music) to some rap (very choosy about it, since there's a lot of garbage), to rock, and even some folk music in there. It's a pretty large blend of stuff, really, and I'm sure I can sample it somewhere around here... hopefully, of course! If not, I'll just barge my way in and toss up a thread for it. :P

Canada eh? Lovely!

I have almost the exact same reading genre, I also grew up on fantasy stuff but lately I've been reading historical thrillers and non-fiction books too.
And yup, you can sample it in the Music & Sound (http://www.arpegi.be/index.php/board,25.0.html) board ;)
