However this new test will implement a feature that allows you to promote your posts on the news feed of people you already have friend'ed. I always wondered how appealing this idea actually is, considering that the only people that will see this feature in action are the people you already have as a friend, so is this only going to cater to lonely people who get ignored? Then again it would be useful to those who run businesses online and have like 1000 friends, wishing to let their offers be known among the masses

So I'm assuming it highlights the post so people have a higher chance of looking at it. At first I thought it meant showing your post to the world or something, since that seems like a more appealing idea.
