I'm building an HTPC/Emubox that will be controlled by an xbox controller, so DS touchscreen input is useless to me.
Need game suggestions.
-
Various RPG's. I think. Or some visual novels.
-
Yeah, you'd be mostly stuck with early RPG's.
I'm not 100% sure you won't need the touchscreen at some point because it's been a while since I played them, but here are a few options:
Chrono Trigger
Children of Mana
Disgaea
Digimon World Dusk/Dawn
Final Fantasy III
Luminous Arc
Megaman Battle Network 5 Double Team
Megaman ZX
Megaman Zero Collection
Rhapsody: A Musical Adventure
Kingdom Hearts: 358/2 Days
Yu-Gi-Oh! 2011
-
Monster Tale.
Possibly Advanced Wars
Various racing games.
-
Contra 4
I think, Pokemon D/P/Pl. Apart from that bread making minigame, it's playable with the d-pad. Dunno about B&W 1/2.

You do have to click the center of a pokeball at the very beginning of the game on the touchscreen for diamond and pearl, pretty sure it goes the same with plat too.
-
a save file where that's skipped is just the solution. :P
-
I'm also saying RPG's. I play them on emulator or my phone and I've never needed to(from memory) use the touchscreen.
-
Radiant Historia doesn't use the touchscreen IIRC.
-
Yeah, most of the games that don't use the touchscreen are mostly RPGs.
Golden Sun: Dark Dawn
Radiant Historia
Sands of Destruction
Luminous Arc 1 and 2
FFIV
Super Robot Taisen OG Saga: Endless Frontier
Final Fantasy Tactics A2: Grimoire of the Rift
Dragon Quest 4, 5, 6
Rune Factory 1, 2, 3
Soma Bringer

I think 999 isn't going to work. Since it does require some touch screen input.
I take back that most visual novels don't take touch screen input :/
