The Unova Pokedex toy is the newest addition in the long line of Pokedex toys based on the in-game Pokedex of each generation's main games.
However, it's been ruled to be the worst Pokedex toy and even the old Generation I Pokedex has been recommended for use with Unova Pokemon over this new Pokedex toy.

I remember having a 1st gen Pokédex when I was around 7.
It broke in half... :/

I had that one too. But I didn't care for it because it didn't speak, wasn't exactly like the anime version with the in depth entries from the game, and was virtually impossible to use in the dark.
