So, guys.
Thanks to this post, http://d24w6bsrhbeh9d.cloudfront.net/photo/a3YnP41_700b.jpg (http://d24w6bsrhbeh9d.cloudfront.net/photo/a3YnP41_700b.jpg)
I really feel like playing one of those classic RPG games. They have to be on PC, though.
Also, with 'classic' I don't mean they have to be old. MMORPG's are welcome too ;)
-
- The Elder Scrolls: Anything
- State of Decay (Singleplayer open world zombie game) Not really a classic though
- Fallout New Vegas and its lovely DLCs
- Saints Row The Third / IV if you're in for something a bit crazier
- GTA San Andreas
- Far Cry 3
I've got a thing for open world. Heheh
-
Alright... HERE WE GO...
Wait, PC? Ehrm, okay. Let's still do this
- Evoland => Kind of a trip through the history of RPG's / Adventure games.
- The Penny Arcade games
- Rouge Legacy -> Isn't a RPG in the best definition but has some major influence from the genre.
- Dust: An Elisian Trail -> Ask Priom. He'll say it's awesome too.
- Delver -> Dungeon explorer with RPG elements.
- 3079 - Block RPG
- Final Fantasy VIII
- The Last Remnant
- TorchLight I & II
- MUST PLAY: Systemshock 2.
Well, need more?

We appear to have the same taste in games, I have played all of these and loved them (except State of Decay).
As for Jonez, I haven't played any of these, which is a good thing ;)
Thanks, I'll defninitely check them out :)
Edit: Bugger, Torchlight 2 was free until a couple of hours ago :-\

In terms of PC, I admit that Miz has a better knowledge about games.
But when you ever need any other RPG's (emulator) for other systems. I'm your man.
-
If you're going RP heavy, then you shouldn't miss out on Black Isle Studios' games. Neverwinter Nights allows for some co-op roleplaying.
-
Final Fantasy

I really like your motivation to play rpgs.
Btw for pc rpgs I was gonna post something but then I realized jonezy said most of the ones I was gonna say.
-
hold on,hold on!
Based on your motivations some game just came to my mind:
Recettear:a shopkeeper's story
Chantelise
Agarest:generations of war(this one has skimpy stuff)
and if you can find a translation for it: Tears to tiara
-
For the record, the original Tears to Tiara, which is the one released on PC, has outright porn in it.
If you like comedy with your traditional RPG gameplay, give The Drunken Paladin a try.
-
SHADOW OF THE COLOSSUS
jk
Final fantasy or dragon quest, if that exists on pc.
-
For the record, the original Tears to Tiara, which is the one released on PC, has outright porn in it.
That's a bit of an overstatement....
None of them are f*pworthy
-
The Ys games are pretty good.
-
FFVII
-
FFVII
-
I will definitely check out Chantelise, the Steam page looks quite promising.
For the record, the original Tears to Tiara, which is the one released on PC, has outright porn in it.
I will also have to 'verify' this statement ;)
As for Ys games, recommend me a good one to start with?
I will totally get FFVII, no doubt about that.
-
I would start with either Felghana or Origin.
-
piece of advice don't start with: Ys: The Ark of Napishtim
-
Allright, will start with Origin, then :)
Thank you all <3
