You can definitely tell that the markings and light are different, and their body structure is also altered slightly.
One could say that it's their Mega, but all the other mega evolutions changed the pokemon drastically or enhanced it significantly. If it was their Mega, then why such a slight, almost imperceptible, change?

Maybe these are a new region's counterparts for them? There were a couple of hints in X/Y that there was another region we'll explore "eventually", perhaps this was what they were talking about?

Anyway, places all over the world are giving out demo codes. Here's a list of events that have 'em. As it says there, serebii is planning on giving out codes too.
Dunno how hard it'll be to get a code, but if you guys can go to any of these events whatever, please share ur experience
