The Queen the smiled as she looked around to each individual sat at the table, uttering their names as her eyes glanced over them.
Queen of Tamathy: Koel, Vagus, Nemmy, Melodia and Nom. Its very nice to meet you all. To my understanding there was another one, but nevertheless this shall do quite nicely.
She then lifts her soft silk covered hands to the side of her as she spoke, pointing to General Krux, then waving her hand to the other side of her which was directed to General Amelia.
Queen of Tamathy: Well, as you know, these two are both Generals of a different section of the Tamathy infantry. General Harold Krux is the leader of the Royal Tamathy Guard and General Jade Amelia is the leader of the main Tamathy army and its superiors. Vixen, who you have already met is my personal aid, though he tends to call himself my servant, which I do not enjoy the sound of.
General Amelia bows before the group with respect and then pulls herself back up, returning to her professional stance with a strict but caring look in her eye. General Krux does not follow suit however, he simply looks at the group with a spine made of stone, unflinching. Vixen bows down also, but upon returning back up he holds a sad look in his face, uncertain of the Queens words about him.
The Queen then looks to the group and picks up a cup of tea that laid in front of her, holding it in such a refined manner, something which she clearly had been practicing for a while like most nobles most likely do. Slowly drawing the detailed cup to her soft pink lips and then returning it to its small plate.
Queen of Tamathy: Well, its best that I tell you the reason why you are here. I'm afraid it is not simply for chatter and food, but something a bit more than that. I hope you are willing to comply with my request.

"He got a little sick," Melodia replied. "He'll be here later, I think." She shrugged a little, idly petting the little dragon in her lap. The girl looked pretty much uncaring that the queen was royalty, and held respect only due to the queen being the group's host in the lovely castle.

The young doctor from before walked in and bowed a little. "Erm..." He muttered. "I apologize for interrupting, but I would very much like to check them all out after they're through here... It's a...personal preference this time. The rumors as to why they slept for so long are worrying me." He bowed again and began to walk out.

"And about this request... I'm afraid it entirely depends on the nature of the of it if whether or not we will choose the accept it, your highness. So can you tell us what this request is?" Vagus asked. He wasn't exactly sure if he should had used the word "we", as he was just being cautious for the sake of the group.

Queen of Tamathy: Vixen, once we are finished, would you please escort our guests down to the medical ward? Thank you Vixen.
She then slowly nodded to Vagus and proceeded to speak of her request
Queen of Tamathy: I do not believe that I am asking very much, but considering what you have been through it may seem somewhat tasking. I only ask that you tell me what happened on the day of the white flash, I'm afraid we must know as we have been monitoring the individual in the black cloak for some time now.....we have an interest in him and we believe that he was responsible for what happened our TMU and 10 miles of the Muram Grasslands. So you see, I only ask you to speak, nothing more. You may refuse if you wish, but I greatly urge you to comply.

"Yes..." Vagus begins to tap his temple with the spoon, unaware of the minor bruising it's doing. But considering how painful his headache was earlier, this could be nothing to him. "I didn't actually join the TMU, but I can recall that they're trying to find and capture a winged creature, for reasons I don't know. We eventually encountered this humanoid creature. It tried to tell us something about the 'dark one'... Before it told us this person's name, she was..." Vagus' voice trailed as he tried to remember the way she was killed. But he didn't want to remember what he saw. "...killed right before our eyes. The murderer was the one in black cloth, more than likely the same person you're trying to investigate. And then we fought. What happened after is quite blurred to me. But I remember being overcome by pure darkness and pain. And then there was a light accompanied by a scream...." Vagus stood. "Your majesty, if you're planning to engage this person, I highly discourage that you do so. Whatever damage we did to him was no more than a tap on his skin."

Suddenly General Krux took one step forward as he heard of the winged being, maintaining his firm stance as he spoke.
General Krux: I may fill in the details on that your Majesty, you see, we actually had no interest in the Winged being whatsoever. The man in the black cloak, who we have yet to learn the name of had actually been looking for this winged being himself for quite a while and was looking for escorts, we took this opportunity to escort him there so we could keep tabs on him. We believe that our TMU learned quite a lot about this man but unfortunately we failed to find the body of General Holt and thus we must conclude that he is dead along with any other information he may have acquired.
The Queen gave a saddened look as she listened to General Krux's words, then slowly turned back to Vagus.
Queen of Tamathy: Hmmm, well yes we do believe hearing reports that he was wielding a "never before seen type of magic" and thus our interest in him sparked.....but I never expected it to be violent and malicious. This man did not tell you why he was looking for the winged being or why he killed it? I'm sorry for my questions, I know it must be hard to recall such information.

"I'm sorry, your highness, but I fail to recall such information. Perhaps Koel might know." He wasn't so sure if he didn't know or he didn't want to remember. He could only pass it to Koel, who might have knew better than him.

Koel looked weakly at Vagus, silently telling him he didn't wish to be disturbed but now in the gaze of the Queen he now felt pressured to answer. Trying to restrain himself from mentioning the powers that they had acquired from the event, feeling that he needed to tell someone who wasn't directly linked to it.
Koel: I.....I don't remember much either, he mentioned something about his business being done after killing it I think........then he absorbed some sort of light from the corpse which went into his own body....I don't really understand what that meant.
Koel began to fidget, moving his behind on the chair around as if he was never comfortable. He also seemed to be unable to look the Queen in the eye as he spoke, though his head was turned towards her but his eyes trailed of and swung to different ends of the room, probably to make sure that Krux didn't shout at him.
Koel: .....I know he mentioned something terrible after that, which was the main reason we ended up fighting him.....but I can't remember it. I'm sorry, my mind is also a blur.
The Queen smiled and nodded, Koel slumping back into his chair with relief that the pressure is now off him, he indulged in his apple once again.
Queen of Tamathy: So, we know that he was looking for the winged being, that the winged being was also looking for something and that upon death, the man absorbed something from its body....a light. I'm going to assume it was magical energy, and afterwards he planned to do something else. We are much closer than we were before and I thank you for that, its just a shame that the body of this winged being was not found either, but strangely you all were unharmed, you were found with not a scratch on you but simply in a deep sleep.
Is there anything else you would like to tell me? Anything unusual regarding the subject, any information at all is appreciated as we must know as much as we can about this man and the impact he has made

Vagus looked back at Koel. Seeing at neither of them mentioned their powers, perhaps it the best not to mention it at all. "Nothing of note, your majesty." He said. "However, may I ask what you want to accomplish with this?" He unknowingly gripped the spoon even tighter. He thought on the back of his mind that he might have asked a dangerous question.

"Um...I have something else, but...I don't know if everyone else wants to say anything.." Melodia said, not even sure if she should have spoke up. She looked to the rest of the group, not sure if she should continue down the route she was leading to. However, before anyone could do anything, a gust of wind shot the girl up out of her seat and toppled it over, but she landed pretty gently. When she realized what had happened, she went to grab Nom, who was just waking up and didn't appear to realize he was falling. She stood up and picked the chair back up. "Ow..." She muttered, rubbing her back a little as she sat back down.

Both General Krux and Amelia staggered out of their statue like postures and looked frantically around the room, trying to discover the source of the gust of wind, they began to run around the table, their metal armor clanking with their movements. They scanned the area thourily before looking to both Melodia and the Queen with a blank look on their faces, Vixen however seemed rather unphased by it, though he was initially shocked to see it as it happened, but there was no aftershock with him.
General Krux:The area is secure your highness, there is no sign of any gaps in the stonefloor or anything of that nature.
General Amelia: Also the weather outside could not be more calmer, surely not strong enough to do such a thing, are you okay young lady?
The Queen for the first time showed a shocked expression on her face, completely breaking her usual smile. However she remained on her seat and kept looking to Melodia, her expression then turned to interest.
Queen of Tamathy: It seems as though......you are not telling me everything, I thought you all looked a bit tense...
Koel placed his face in his hand, slowly shaking his head from side to side. In disbelief that Melodia would blow their secret into the open like that.
General Krux and Amelia slowly made their way back to the Queens side, while looking at Melodia with an odd look on their faces, not altering their gaze for the entire journey.

Melodia looked at Koel for a second. "Hey, if you guys weren't going to say anything about having headaches, I was going to." She said to him, her expression assuring that the gust of wind was an accident. "Because I still got one." She looked at Amelia and nodded. "I'm okay." She looked around for a second and pointed to Nom, who was still kind of groggy and confused. "It was him." Nom glared at Melodia as if to say 'woah woah woah, wait a second, don't pin your problems on me.'

Koel remained silent, not saying a word but visibly annoyed at Melodia, but also somewhat relieved that nothing bad came of it. Krux and Amelia pretend to keep watch over the group but both were subtly looking around the room, still trying to understand where the gust came from.
The Queen then slowly brandished her smile again, seemingly dropping the subject yet still unconvinced that it was a mere accident. She then looked to Vagus and remembered that he had earlier asked her something rather important, regarding her motives.
Queen of Tamthy: Well Sir Vagus, I simply wish to know more about this individual, as he wields something that no other has been reported to wield. I must assess this possible threat to ensure the safety of my people, and to a larger extent, the people of Luneta. Nothing more, nothing less.
She said with a firm tone in her voice, giving the impression she was somewhat hurt by the insinuation it was anything other that what she had said. She then picked up her tea cup and slowly took another small sip from it, then placing it back as the plate and the cup clang together.
Queen of Tamathy: Unless there is anything else that you can inform me of, I shall let you leave and be about your own affairs. You may walk about the castle at your own leisure. I shall make sure that no guard impedes your progress. But before that, it appears as though one of our medical staff wishes to examine you.

"Is it anything else if I don't remember what happened?" Melodia asked. "I don't remember anything past when we found the winged lady and...and..." She looked down a little, visibly disturbed to the point that she probably didn't want to continue.

"There wasn't anyone besides us, remember?" Vagus said. "The others disappeared." He didn't want to say 'dead'. Not in front of her. Then again, he didn't know what happened to the whole Mercenary Unit. It was too early to assume that they're dead.

Koel remained silent, deep in thought about the current conversation
Koel: Melodia is right, Walter and the General should be here.....but then again, neither of them fought Darka up close like we did.....is that what this is about? Only the ones that were involved in the battle are the ones that survived? That doesn't make sense....it should be us who are dead....not Walter....
The Queen the slowly stood up from her chair and gently bowed her head to the group, grasping her hands firmly together in front of her.
Queen of Tamathy: I thank you for the information you have provided, you have certainly made things more clearer to us. Fear not, now that we know the man is hostile and indeed dangerous, we shall alert our troops all over the region to be on the look out for him and to capture this man.
General Amelia: I shall send word immediately your highness.
As General Amelia said that she bowed to both the group and to the Queen and left the room through the main doors, General Krux gave the group a cold stare before departing also. The Queen soon followed them, walking slowly to the door as her long flowing dress trailed behind. Soon the room was empty, except for Vixen who had remained and had now come out of the corner and stood beside the table looking at the group with a smile on his face.
Vixen: I do hope that it wasn't too troublesome for you

The old man scoffled at Askardi's words
Old Man Cleric: So? Hah, you young'ins are always so rude. But I guess thats just the way you are, no way in help'in it.
The old man guided Askardi through the sea of people, though not one of them seemed to brush past the old man, all of them kindly moved out the way even though it was rather hard to see him as he didn't stand that far off the ground due to his hunched back. In the distance, a large but run down building stood, it was white in colour but its paint had long faded away and now was a murky gray. The stained glass windows were still intact but the images on them were hard to make out, darkened from aging.
Old Man Cleric: I'll take you to the church, thats a good place to collect your thoughts....it doesn't look too pretty but people still visit, with the current tensions between Natharia and Tamathy rising, people need to put their minds at rest sometimes....

Koel stands up slowly and walks to the door, not saying anything and passing each member in silence.
Koel: I'm unsure if I can cope with this.....these powers could be dangerous.....maybe Darka intended to give us them....I don't know....
