Just before this gets moved, I would just like to add that giving women special treatment like "hitting women is cowardly" is somewhat sexist. If a woman hits you, you may hit her back. If a guy hits you, you may hit him back. We are all humans and we treat others the way we wish to be treated. Fair, unbiased and just .

To be fair, the economic side is slowly balancing out, it has been for the past few decades. Soon they will be on the same standing as us~

Yeah, if women want equality they should get 100% equality or nothing, none of this "I'm a women so treat me better" crap. Those old fashioned days of a gentleman holding the door open for you went out the window when you demanded equality. Now you're my equal so open your own damn door and quit complaining about it.

Mothers have more rights over children too, I don't see any of them volunteering to give those rights up and fathers being equal. There will never be 100% equality I don't think.

I would also like to add that "equality" is an illusion. In small settlements and groups, sure, equality can be established properly. But in a population as big as Earth has, impossible. As long as greed and pride are present, equality will never be achieved.

I have to step in and say that children need -less- rights, we keep on giving them more and they abuse it and become disrespectful and full of themselves, rebelling at young ages.
I'm not condoning abusive activities, but mothers do need more rights over children as children are dependent on mothers anyway.

But the majority of those nice and respectful kids are raised by good parents who know the right amount of freedom to give to a child, but the parents that just allow the system to take over and allow the children to have all the rights given to them end up just running rampant. Raising a good child is all about restraint, then self-restraint becomes an automatic trait.

What I meant was women have more rights over custody of their children, fathers rarely get a look in, no matter how bad the mother is. There's no equality in that, woman have more than men in that area.

Oh I see, I apologize for my mistake.
But on that subject its a little muddy, I mean the woman deserves more rights over the child than the father simply because its -the mother-, not in a sexist term but a biological and psychological one. The child will always be more attached to the mother than the father, regardless of how more frequently the father interacts with the child. The first voice the child hears is the mothers, the first person the child sees is the mother. De-tatching the child from the mother is just biologically wrong, the sad fact is that the child can live on without a father with minimal psychological harm, but if the mother is taken out of the equation then the results are far more drastic. Therefore we can't get around that issue, women don't deserve it, but they are granted those rights by nature.
