Problem connecting to eshop on 3ds xl

So you guys may know that I got a 3ds xl today! But for some reasoni get a error when i try to connect to the eshop! It is not my internet as I am posting it from the 3ds (which is a real pain in the ass) so what would be the problem?

Nintendo's servers are suffering today for some reason. It's even worse on the Wii U!

Probably because why Steam was such a laggy shit yesterday. Too many people at once. Maybe the servers at Nintendo haven't recovered yet.
