The Elder Scrolls Online
« on: February 17, 2014, 03:52:54 PM »
I've recently joined in a beta event. As expected it's still a bit buggy and the servers aren't doing a good job yet.

The game in itself is one of the best MMO's I've ever played and it would rival Guild Wars 2. I've yet to play more before being able to give my full opinion on it though.

The only thing I truly hate and will probably prevent me from buying the game at all is the monthly subscription fee.

So I'd like to know your opinions on the game if you have played it and/or on the current price tag. The game is like €60 and the subscription is €13/month ($15-16)

speaking of eso I was wondering

ESO takes place after oblivion and before skyrim correct?
And the main villain of ESO is Molag Bal a draedra who obviously lives in the plains of oblivion
But....the gates to oblivion had been closed after the event of esiv:oblivion
So umm what the heck how can molag bal be the villain will he be in some spectral form or something?

ESO is set before Oblivion, in the second era.

Define "a bit"... Since you could say that for example a game is a "bit buggy" while it's swarming with bugs.

Sometimes you have to reload the UI because the game gets stuck when leaving a conversation with an NPC.
Once, when entering water I had major graphical glitches.

Oh, right.. almost forgot. I jumped during a lagspike and I got launched into the air like crazy. I flew a couple miles at high speed and then my game crashed.

I have a spare beta key, if anyone wants to try it out. It's a 3 day beta iirc.

The download ain't a laugh though.
