Title: Invalid Youtube link problems
Post by: Mr.PowPow on January 14, 2013, 03:59:11 AM
Pretty self-explanatory, every time I try and post a youtube link (along witht the [youtube] thingie), that error message always goes in its place. Every single time.
I've tried it with multiple youtube links and get the same problem. Any suggestions?

Test

Works fine for me, just type out the code instead of pressing the buttons. Because the buttons don't seem to work.

Trying to copy embedded video links could be the cause.

Could be. You may need to remove all metadata from your links.

The only time I get the error message is when the address between the tags starts with "https://" instead of "http://" or when the URL is shortened like "youtu.be" or some sort.

Could that be your problem?

I attempted both before I even posted this thread, so clearly that doesn't work for me.

I'll try that and get back to you

Might be because you're being watched.

Nah, I tried Light's suggestion and it worked. Apparently https is what the problem is.

I just wish I didn't have to remove the S after each paste.

Also, url tags in the youtube tags = bugs.
