Hope: Yes. Actually Vantiem was hiding all of this.....due to planning. He wanted everyone safe and especially me. He knew of the humans' demise and wanted to try and get myself ready. But he was almost ready until Jonez arrived and found the books. Vantiem freaked out, then took desperate measures. Showing Suma what he has done.
