There are a number of things you could do, you should make sure that the room is totally pitch black. Light sources can keep you awake, even if its just a street light outside, and any noises should be blocked out. So get some earplugs. But most importantly you need to be relaxed and comfy, this is your body's downtime so you need to ensure that you remain asleep and not wake up at these random intervals, that'll just make you more tired and thus perpetuate the cycle.
If you do continue to experience these sleepless nights, then I'd recommend a steady course of antihistamine, which can be obtained over the counter. Anything with diphenhydramine or doxylamine is a good start. Though I wouldn't rely too heavily on drugs, I'd use them just until you can find the underlying cause of the disturbance of sleep and whether or not it is a psychological reason.
