Nuh-uh, you forgot about the poorly written romance! You can't just swap the seasons with that in the middle!

And yeah, I totally forgot about Genora. She literally just fell out of the sky, used Dazzling Gleam and then saved everybody. And that was her Spirit too! Her spirit was in the human world, what the heck was up with that?!

Oh man, don't even get me started on that cringe-inducing trainwreck they called romance.
The only notable romance in the entire series was BolinXDesna. Those two were made for each other.

But yeah, the ending to season 2, while awesomely jam-packed with action, left more questions than it tried to resolve. I seriously feel that the entire point of the season (and the first) was nothing but a set up for the REAL story of Korra, which starts with

Is punching the wall considered self-hurting? I was discussing this with my sister about how I hurt myself to reduce sensitivity to pain. And if anything strikes me as sad or tragic, I watch/read it again and again until I'm no longer affected by it.
