It's RPG time! Arcanum followed by KOTOR, and I'm already in love with Arcanum. Created 3 new characters in the past hour and I'm not happy with any of 'em.

Oh wow! Holy s***! You guys! I just found what might be, potentially, the most awesome korean webtoon I've ever seen.

Have you always wondered what it would be like if real life was like a game? And no, none of that virtual reality s*** like SAO or .hack. You suddenly wake up one day to see levels and titles floating above peoples heads, and random windows popping up before your eyes telling you that you've earned exp by buying groceries for your mom!

That's what happens in The Gamer by Sung San-Young.

I'm not gonna say anything more since I want you guys to go check it out for yourselves, but suffice it to say, it definitely has the potential to become one of the best comics.

Seriously, you should go check it out.

I have nothing against VR when it's done correctly and doesn't try to pretend it's something it's not.
Most of the comics and anime I've seen that claim to be "real-life turned into a game" have almost always turned into just VR based stories.
The Gamer is the first legitimate story I've seen that actually uses "real-life turned into a game" concept.

The dialogue and story is cool up to where I am right now. The graphics is lackluster and the combat kinda sucks. (I am wary of D&D based battle systems in videogames)

You'll like it if you liked Fallout 2 and Baldur's Gate. Speaking about Baldur's Gate, I downloaded it yesterday but it doesn't work thanks to lack OpenGL support in my laptop.

The G+ comment system was better except for it's need to open a new tab to "Show Comment".


Edit: Got Wizardry 8, very surprised by it's CRPG elements.

I honestly haven't seen much of the anime after the Hoenn saga.
But still, I know in my deepest of hearts that Serena will win against Misty. The Osananajimi factor is too stronk.
