And which story is crying =P?Whichever one his majesty Jonez The Great wants done. ;)
alot is not a word,Keep those coming. Trying to keep this as error-free as possible.
EllipseI'll fix that. And what kind of area transitions are you thinking about? Ones that make you teleport as soon as you step on a tile? Or teleporting mid-cutscene?
Places tiles in a circular fashion. It cannot for perfect circles, due to the engine's limitation.
wut, also I love how you added the Alot :p
Also, how do you trigger an area transition?

Gotta say, based on your tutorials, making a game seems incredibly easy!
I wonder though, is there any way to make your own tiles and stuff (not saying that I know HOW to make tiles mind you, just asking if the option is available) or is it restricted only to the stock tiles the program has?For that, you have to learn sprite art. There are countless of guides on the internet on sprite art. And no, you are not limited to tilesets on the RTP, there are many resource sites and artists on the internet who let you use their tiles, sprites. Be sure to read their T&C.
Both of those and like move from one area to another.EllipseI'll fix that. And what kind of area transitions are you thinking about? Ones that make you teleport as soon as you step on a tile? Or teleporting mid-cutscene?

Okay, tell me how I can do THIS!That uses a custom sideview script. There is one called Tankentai SBS which is easy to use. If you learn Ruby, you can create your own cool scripts like these ones.

I'm greatly looking forward to learning about events, thats probably the thing I struggled with the most. I think I only managed to learn how to make a chest contain an item, open and close (all that jazz). But that was through copying what someone on a video did, not really learning lol.Well, good news is that I'm writing the event tutorial after I finish expanding the mapping tutorial. Bad news is I haven't slept for a while and I'll start on event tutorial after my sleep~
For some reason I can no longer see the Mapping slide on the blog thingie o.oEr..sorry, I took it down for a bit of re-editing. Should be up right now.
Why is it so big?So that people don't miss the edit. I could change it to a smaller size if it annoys you, dear admin.
Ahhhh, well. I'll start again on the new one to refresh my memory.Psst. Use the new tutorial this time.
Fist it was a great tutorial and all but you didn't add anything about the battle and gameplay.Would you kindly please simply teach us how to use an abs battle systemActive time?
to be fair, I'll be needing to know how to do that too :PYes thank you powy I was trying this the whole day myself and wondering all the time if I'm the only guy on arpegi trying this
More or less with what happened with me xDto be fair, I'll be needing to know how to do that too :P1Screwed rpgmaker up

^^both of your suggestions are turn based, would you mind suggesting a good abs battle engine?
And by Active time, do you mean a Legend of Zelda like system, or a FF6 like system?
XAS is the best out there for VXA, currently.funny I seen to be getting everything before I even know it's the most preferable

It's a bit more complicated than most other scripts, but you'll do fine.
I have no idea what scripts I needI had no idea when I started out as well. Your best bet to learn about them is to join the forums.
