For those of you who don't know, the One World Trade Center was a construction that was built at the site of the 9/11 terrorist attack. As a symbol of supposedly "hope" or as a way to show resolve through hard times. Well anyhoo, an installment of a column on the 100th floor of the One World Trade Center will effectively make it the tallest building in New York with a total height of 1,271ft (387m). Woot!
However when completed it will be 1,776ft tall.
This is all well and good, but I have my doubts about this building. Is this not just provoking the terrorists for another attack?
Because we all know that when a building gets blown to pieces, we immediate go "Well.....we'll just build another one and make it bigger!"
That logic would be good, if terrorist actions weren't the cause of the bombing in the first place. This seems like its just going to end up as another target and due to its current height, it could do more damage than before should it fall.
