And yeah, catching rare (useful) pokemon is much harder in PWO, so you really have to put in the hours to get a good team, which I guess separates you from the rest.

Azumarill is an acceptable choice, however although Gyarados is a hard-hitter, his double weakness to electricity is worrying.
I'm also considering Poliwrath, but not too keen on having two fighting types.

Also, Tauros can learn Surf. A mothafockin' surfin' bull!

PS:I'd suck at competitive play. I don't have enough patience for the whole nature/ev bullshit, and I like my Pokémon cool rather than useful...and I rarely use anything other than damaging moves, soooo....

That's how I play in the main game, and to an extent competitive play too. Most of the pokemon in my team are there because I thought they looked cool lol

Their moves depend on the role the pokemon plays in my team though.

He looks really badass, but gets fucked sidedways when he is caught in an Earthquake. Like all steel types, his special def isn't something to be proud of.

To be honest, in some competitive teams thats actually a tactic, "hit fast, die last". Though they are mostly referred to as sweepers, pokemon that can literally bulldoze their way through a team by causing as much damage as possible. Mewtwo is the most famous sweeper atm, due to his insane Special Attack potential.

lol yeah. I only use him for the main game though. I'd never dare to put him up against competitive players. :/

I'd never take a steel type in with me into a competitive match in general, they are so exposed due to the popularity of Fighting types (at least in the B&W tier). Well, the exception is Metagross, only due to his Psychic&Metal typing.

Skarmory's also something to consider. And Bronzong, although it's more of a poor man's Metagross.

Sinnoh was hard to enjoy, Unova was ridiculous. I only praised Unova for one pokemon and one pokemon only, Zoroark.
