I think it'll be fine, Disney only see dollar signs when they see Star Wars, thus they wont want to fuck it up and piss off the fans and end up losing more money than making it.
Plus they have an uncountable amount of stories to choose from that go from Luke creating the new Jedi Order onward, so its not like they will be short of ideas and material.
