It was the Tommy Bartlett Show, if you're ever in Wisconsin and interested in seeing it. They also did some cool water-skiing stunts and other variety shows.

Is there any anime like Cromartie? :\

I hear Nichijou(i think that's the name) is similar but I don't like it's "kawai" themes. But it does look interesting and I will try it.

Know anything else similar to Cromartie? I guess now's the best time to ask since both out resident otakus are here.

I'd recommend checking out Danshi Koukousei no Nichijou since you're so kawaii-phobic. It's not as ridiculous as Cromartie but it's still pretty hilarious. I mean check out the credits:


If you weren't kawaii-phobic I'd wholeheartedly recommend Pani Poni Dash and Nichijou. PPD is just as ridiculous as Cromartie and Nichijou's just plain great (It's in my top 5 favorite anime!)
