New Minecraft user

I'm sure this is the right place to ask, and yeah as you can see I'm "new" to minecraft in other words, I'ma noob to it  :P
What all do I need to know about minecraft? cause tbh I know absolutely nothing about it, other than the fact that you can build stuff  :))
Oh and I use the Minecraft PE edition for androids, (0.7.5 alpha that is) if it makes any difference

even more so with optifine.
Minimium settings + optifine pretty much any computer could play it.

And take it from me, 1.7 has a bunch of amazing updates in store to make it even without optifine a lot less laggy.
