He is currently being aided by Eli, his creator; Kage, an alchemist who lost his powers to bring back the life of Eli; and Team Verepes. He is being tracked down by Yunai, fellow subordinate to Eli and Kage, and Rage, the 7th and final legendary alchemist who is Kage's younger, but much more powerful, brother.

*James awakes in his cabin*

Lore: I meant that they have to look for 5 things that we hide and that they can relate to only to one of us two... BUT... we also hide things that you can relate to the other contestants... if you find that object.. for example... Jinya finds Jonez's blade... Jonez's search is then over.

*James felt very happy, almost excited. That is, until, he saw who she was with and what she was doing*

*James fell to the floor, crushed. He felt a spear rip through his heart. He knew he couldn't feel emotions, so what is happening to him now? Is this what it felt to lose all that you love?*
