The difficulty of the overall game is now balanced overall but still challenging. The devs wanted the most "authentic FFVI experience" which means that even people who have never played FFVI before can enjoy the game without too much difficulty provided they utilize strategy and common sense.

Basically this is what FFVI was meant to be. It really is superb. If you're a fan of FF or just RPGs in general you have to try this.
Aww....but alienrobot warlords sounds so much more.....fun

Though if the problem you had was with the ATB turn-based system then... >.> It's still there.

Also about the mod, they also edited the text. Kefka fucking swears. A lot. Which is funny because Relm swears EVEN MORE than Kefka. That is one foul-mouthed 12 year old.  ;D
