Hopefully we will see some new type combos! Based on the vid, looks like the starters will be

Grass/Fighting
Fire/Psychic
Water/Dark or Water/Ice

in all honesty though, I don't think they look THAT bad. The fox is pretty cute and has the potential to look badass when fully evolved. And the grass type looks like another oshawott (and when I first saw him, I didn't really like him at first either). The frog is a little "meh" for me. If I can see it fully evolved then I'll have an opinion on it.

Also... DAT 3D BATTLEFIELD!! THIS is what I expected and wanted after Black/White! A fully 3D battlefield with the pokemon actually performing their attacks! (Mienfoo firing Aura Sphere? the frog starter unleashing a wickedly cool Faint Attack? YES PLEASE!!)

Also again... ARE THOSE ROLLER BLADES at 0:26!?

Also, that amount of 3D and unique animations for each pokemon AND attacks? The DS just doesn't have the hardware to cope with that.

This Pokémon looks awesome. I ain't afraid to say it looks WAY better than Black/White...and it apparently has Pokémon from all generations from the get-go, so YES! PSYDUCK FTW!

The starters don't look good, but they still look much better than B/W starters. The only generation Fire starters ain't my favourite is the fifth, and this game doesn't change it. The water starter actually looks better than Mijumaru/Oshawatt/Oshitwhat? to me, but the grass starter's got nothing on Snivy...and yeah, the grass starter is Oshawatt all over again.

As for the X/Y thing, it's obviously related to the shapes of the legendaries, but I don't know if there's anything more to it. Like on Pokémon Black/White, was there anything related to the name other than the legendaries?


The 3D backgrounds and the 3D map overall, was well as the Pokémon moves, are a grand new feature too...I also hope those were roller skates back in 0:29, but I think it was just the camera positioning that made it look like it was that.


Overall:The only thing that could make that trailer better is Pokémon following you around like in HG/SS, but it's awesome anyway...If I had a 3DS, I'd get it. :3
