The *big* revolutionary part about it was it's cinematic storytelling, which I love and hate at the same time.

The majority of people who say FFVII is bad are either trolling or have no taste whatsoever, or are just hipster snobs that hate it because everyone else likes it :p

Lol there's a whole side of the ff fanbase that hates ffvii for no apparent reason.

As for me,I played it and I found it good.Although can't say I like all the characters.Surprisingly a lot of the ffvii fan hate the characters I like

FF VII Advent Childreb was the first FFVII I've experienced. It kinda ruined my expectations. :/

FF VII AC was the sort of the film that was made for the fans and nobody else. I remember when I watched it with my friend who knew nothing about the FFVII stuff and he was like "So who is mother?" "So why are they attacking that guy" "What are those orby things?" "Whoah, where did that dragon come from?"

I guess from a standalone movie perspective, it was eye-candy but kinda shit.

I played half of Disc one and found myself surprised that Cloud isn't even that emoshit kid everyone recognizes him to be. HE FUCKING CROSSDRESSED AND LIVED! The way he's presented in subsequent games, you wouldn't think he had a snarky and weird sense of humor. Although, it's quite understandable, given that he might have had PTSD or something. But still! The emoness in FVII:AC is a tad bit too much.

The emoness in AC is mirrored by his mental instability in later discs of the game, so its not something they just pulled out their asses.

The reason he's that way is because of Aerith's death and Zack's death, both of whom he held dearly, and both who he failed to protect. After the former's event in the game he was never quite the same. Although he was too preoccupied with all the fighting and chaos that Sephiroth was causing to really think about it, but once all that stopped and Cloud had to live a quiet life, his memories begin to come back to him and he's forced to live with their blood on his hands. Which is also why he can't trust himself to protect anyone but himself.

Actually Cloud is pretty awesome at the start because his personality is kinda messed up and most of his memory are messed up with zack's and what he thinks is an ideal SOLDIER


EDIT: After finally completing download of borderlands 2 the installer doesn't even work properly....should've gone with fallout 3 after all I guess :/
